I saw John Fogarty in concert a few years ago
years ago and he ACTUALLY sang
“There’s a bathroom on the right”
while he sang Bad Moon Rising!
He had this wicked smile on his face
after the song was finished.

I recently bought a CD of Creedence's greatest hits. I'm sorry, but he *is* saying "There's a bathroom on the right." And you canNOT convince me otherwise!

Where's the restroom? Well, a very well known song by Credence Clearwater Revival goes, "... Don't go out tonight, it's bound to take your life. There's a bad moon on the rise."
When I was five until I was about nine, I used to think the song said, "....There's a bathroom on the right."

I always got a little embarrased when that line came 'round. Never liked people telling me where the bathroom was, assuming I needed to "go."

When my sister and I were young, my parents listened to a lot of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Well, for years we thought the words to "Bad Moon RIsin'" were "There's a bathroom on the right" instead of "There's a Bad Moon on the Rise"! My mom just let us sing it that way and didn't correct us until we were older because she thought it was funny!

A very dear friend of mine used to think the CCR song "Bad moon on the rise" was "Bathroom on the right". Whenever we went out, someone would ask, Hey Jess where's the bathroom? oh yah, it's on the right...

Up until I was about 14 years old, I've always thought that the CCR song "Bad Moon Rising" went like this..."There's a bathroom on the right" ..didnt realize it until years later...that was'nt the case.

When I was little, often the music on my sister's radio would be popular rock music of the time (70's). Several songs happen to be played a lot and they never seemed to enunciate clearly so my child's mind filled in the missing and unclear syllables. One song always sounded like directions to the restroom which as a kid, which I felt was conveying important and useful information. It wasn't until I was in college that I found out the song line was "There's a bad moon on the rise" and not "There's a bathroom on the right." Another song sounded as though someone was making spaghetti sauce for a whole lot of people. It wasn't until a few years ago that I found out the true song lyrics were "Guantan amira," about a girl from Guantanamo Bay, not "I need a one ton tomata". Hey, to a kid, how do you make spaghetti sauce for a thousand people, right? You need a really big tomatoe!

For many years, I thought "There's a bad moon on the rise" was "There's a bathroom on the right".

One day when I was about 7, I remember riding in the care with my Mom. We were listening to the radio and I was humming and singing along to Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Bad Moon Rising" song, when my mother started laughing hysterically. She asked what I was singing and I said, "There's a bathroom on the right." ... She finally told me it was "There's a bad moon on the rise."

During the song "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, there's a line that goes "There's a bad moon on the rise." Well, until recently, my ENTIRE FAMILY sang "There's a bathroom on the right!" and we all referred to it as "The Bathroom on the Right Song", thinking other people knew what we were talking about.

You know that song with the chorus, "There's a Bad Moon on the Rise..." Well, I used to think (until about 3 years ago, actually) that the real lyrics were, "There's a Bathroom on the Right..." I would sing it during long car trips with my parents when I had to use the restroom; I always wondered why they would laugh at me for it... ;0)

In that Creedence Clearwater Revival song "Bad Moon Rising", instead of "there's a bad moon on the rise" I heard "there's a bathroom on the right".
