In the Dawn classic, 'Tie a yellow Ribbon round the old oak tree' I thought one of the line was 'The scarlet fleas look for me' couldn't for the life of me think what scarlet fleas had to with it!! Of course the real line is 'Bus driver, please look for me' I was very young at the time!

In the song "Time of my Life" from Dirty Dancing, the song says "so we take eachother's hand, cause we seem to understand the urgency".... and I thought for the longest time that they said "we seem to understand the earth and sea." I thought it might be some kind of earthy, new age, hippie thing about understand nature because they are inlove... or vice versa.. ok maybe I just don't know anything.

We were listening to the queen song 'Bohemia Rhapsody' when my partner in all honesty sang the words 'miss miller let me go, beheljibub has a cuboard put aside for me' when the real words are 'bismilla, let me go, beheljibub has a devil put aside for me' he told me that all these years since the song was released that he had thought that what he'd been singing were the right words, I nearly wet myself laughing, bless him.

I used to believe the Hall & Oates song was "Your Kiss is on My List" but it was really "Your Kiss is on My Lips". My friend Lisa and I had a small 10 year old girl argument over that one.

If you've seen the movie Dumbo then you've probally heard the Casey jr. song ( Casey Jr is that circus train ) .
When I was little I thought the lyrics were these :

Casey Jr's coming down the track
Coming Down the track
With a smokeystack
Here the smoke ant coming round the view
Casey scared a thrill
Every Jack and Jill
Everytime is spotty heard the whistle sound
Everybody learns to safeistrack
Time for lemonade and cracker jack
Casey jr's back
Casey jr's back

The real lyrics are these :

Casey Jr's coming down the track
Coming down the track
With a smokeystack
Here him puffing coming round the hill
Casey's here to thrill
Every Jack and Jill
Everytime his funny little whistle sounds
Everybody hurries to the circus grounds
Time for lemonade and cracker jack
Casey Jr's back
Casey jr's back

I read on here that someone misheard the lyrics to Paul McCartney's Mull of Kintyre... I always thought he was singing about a "Mullicking Tyre" I never thought to ask what "Mullicking" was, I guessed that they obviously made tyres, kinda like Michelin?
