misheard lyrics

When my foreign cousin came to visit from sweden, he used to sing the transformer song, but being a foreigner, he wasn't exactly singing the correct lyrics.
"Transformers...more than meets the eyes" was mutated into "Transformers, owneh weensy eyes...otherwise" Now why he stuck the "otherwise" part in always blew me and my brother away...I guess he figured that since he thought he knew the words, he can add his own twist at the end????????

when i was younger like junior high school i was really into music and i would make lyric books for my fave songs, I would hand write the lyrics in a notebook...etc. well in the song achy breaky heart by billy ray cyrus in the verse that say myself already knows im not okay (i could not make out this line at all) so i asked my moms help....we came to the conclusion it say "a seperated nose is not ok" LMAO!

I was about 15 when the song Video Killed the Radio Star was hot. I could not understand what this song was all about. Of course, I knew what a radio star was, because i had astronomy as a hobby. And a video was a device to record tv shows.
The English lyrics were truely incomprehensible to me, although at the time i accepted the fact that it's ok for lyrics not to make much sence.

Remember the song "I Saw the Sign" by Ace of Base?
I remember when it was really popular (I was in 2nd grade at the time.) I used to think that the title was "I SMELL the Sign". I even have a clip on VHS of me singing it that way!
I am still made fun of about this....
I also thought the name of the band was Ace-a Base and it was the main singer's name. Ha!
