I used to think that in the song "Tiny Dancer," instead of saying "Hold me closer tiny dancer," they were actually saying "Hold me closer Tony Danza."

When I first heard the song "Eye of the Tiger" from Rocky, when the singer got to the line "Ahye of the Tigah!" (That's what it sounds like to me) I thought they were saying "Oh-Oh-Oh Tyla!".

My best friends little sister who run through the house singing all the time. She thought that the Beach Boys song was sung "Help Me Roger" and any time she needed anything from us she would run around singing it.

The Eiffel 65 song Blue (about a blue colored alien, as far as I can tell?!)has lyrics that say "I'm blue; da bah dee, dah ba di" but I heard
"I'm blue; I was green, I was dyed..."

No matter which way, the song lyrics are odd...

Hue knows?

When I listened to Axel F I always thought there was a bit saying "Joseph's gob." It freaked me out, so I moved on to Tony Christie CD. It went "Is this the way to Amarillo" and because Tony Christie wasn't a good map reader, I turned it off so he didn't get lost.

me and my best friend are on the track team and sometimes when we're running long loops or 'fun runs' around town i would start an obnoxious verse of Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi.
One day when everyone actually sang along, and we were singing specifically the part "oh oooh we're half way there, oh oooh livin on a prayer" (it's motivational) we heard me friend sam singing "oh oooh livin on a prarie" which i guess make sense...you can live on a prarie but the entire track team stopped to laugh at her.
later she admitted that she used to think that the jingle for folgers coffee "the best part of waking up is folgers in your cup" was "the best part of waking up is roosters in your cup"
she says because their emblem includes a rooster...i'm not gonna giver her that one, that's just wierd

I'm a die hard Radiohead fan, and for YEARS I thought that the song "Go to Sleep" went like this:

Something for the rag and bone man
Over my dead body
Something WEIRD is gonna happen
Over my dead body

Someone SAW someone's daughter
Over my dead body
This is how I end up getting sucked in
Over my dead body

I'm gonna go to sleep
Let this wash all over me

We don't wanna monster taking over
Tiptoe round tie him down
We don't want the loonies taking over
Tiptoe round tie them down

I'm gonna go to sleep
And let this wash all over me
I'm gonna go to sleep
Let this wash
All over me

REAL LYRICS:
Something for the rag and bone man
Over my dead body
Something big is gonna happen
Over my dead body

Someone's son or someone's daughter
Over my dead body
This is how I end up getting sucked in
Over my dead body

I'm gonna go to sleep
Let this wash all over me

We don't wanna wake monster taking over
Tiptoe round tie him down
We don't want the loonies taking over
Tiptoe round tie them down

May pretty horses
Come to you
As you sleep
I'm gonna go to sleep
Let this wash
All over me

Oops...:-X

In the song Billie Jean, by Michael Jackson, in the chorus he says "Billie Jean, is not my lover, she's just a girl who claims that, I am the one, but the kid is not my son".

I thought he said "Billie Jean, is not my daughter, she's just a girl who claims that, I am the one, Billie Jean is not my son."

First she's a daughter, then a son!

Until I was about 11 when we would watch baseball games or go to them I thought the line "and the home of the brave" was referring to the Braves (my favorite team) dugout...I didn't think it was fair to only sing praise of one team
