I used to sing along to Lionel Ritchie's Hello but instead of 'when I see you pass outside my door' I thought it was 'when I see your pants outside my door'. Oh how I laugh now!

In Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, I used to think they were singing "Beelzebub has a devil for a sideboard!"

I used to dance around the living room like a maniac to ABBA, using a neon green jumprope for a microphone and singing "dancin' on a mo-nack-a-rock" instead of "does your mother know that you're out." I always wondered what a mo-nack-a-rock was. I figured it was a planet.

Row row row your boat

That the first line of ABBA's Mamma Mia was "I've been cheating on you since I don't know when", instead of "I've been cheated by you" It gives the whole song a completely different meaning. I discovered my error at a karaoke night recently. I was absolutely gutted that the woman was actually the victim.
I still prefer my version.

I use to believe that in the country song (or 98 degrees song) "I do" went "I do, Cherry Shoe" not "I do, Cherish you"

I used to believe that the STYX song "Come Sail Away" was Come, Stay Away" Which really doesn't make any sense.

In Eminem's 'Cleaning Out My Closet' I heard...'before I had a monkey platinum selling CD' when the real lyrics are, 'before i ever had a MULTI platinum selling CD.' For the longest time I couldn't figure out what monkeys had to do with CD's.

The Bee Gees song...'You should be dancin' the line
'What you doin in your bed?'
I always thought (up till I was 28 actually) was
'doobley doobley dare'
Why I thought that I have no idea, but hey if the Stones can hum an entire section of 'Paint it Black' then why not?!

when i was 4 or 5 whitney houston's song "i get so emotional" had just been released. until my mom heard me singing it and filled me in, i thought that the line "its shocking what love can do" was actually "his jacket was white and blue". to add insult to injury, my elementary school colors were white and blue, so i thought maybe she had a crush on a boy in my school.

you know the Christmas song 'war is over' by Jon Lennon and Yoko Ono? well they do a bit of whispering at the beggining of the track, before the singing starts, and i swear to god they say ''happy Christma Gilcorn'' then ''Happy christmas Julie'' I have listened 2 it alot and even though it can't possibly be that, It really is. Its makes me laugh every year.

To the artful dodger and craig david song, my mum swears the lyrics are re-ewind "i'm the basketball selector" instead of "when the crowd say bo- selecta!" She doesn't believe me when i correct her but she also can't explain exactly what a basketball selector does and why mr david's singing about them!

I used to think that the Michael Jackson song 'Black Or White' sang 'fingering my baby' instead of 'thinking bout my baby', I also heard 'why did it end?' in Remember the Time as 'I did 'it' in' and I thought the line in Beat It was 'fucky' rather than 'funky'.

In the song greased lightening, i thought that they were saying "she's a real pudding wagon"... but i realized recently thats its actually "she's a real pussy wagon"... i was pretty far off.

I used to love the tv show with Rod Hull and Emu (and Grottbags!) and thought that the song 'Feed the World' song was in fact from the show and that the artists were actually all singing 'Emu's World!'
