My friend's daughter used to love the song "Constant Craving" by KD Lang. Except she was about five at the time, so she'd run around the house singing, "Constant Gravy"

When I was little, and Angie from Rolling Stones went on the radio, I always tought he sang: I'm Jack, IIII'm Jack instead of Angie, Angie, and I never really understood why Mick Jagger wanted to prove he was Jack.

HAVE I THE RIGHT By The Honeycombs - 1964

I used to think that the line 'Come right back I just can't bear it I've got a love and i want to share it' was Come right back i just can't bare it I got a loan from a holy sherriff" Very sad.

I used to think that Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me" was "Bestest is Me" and I was all "Mann...she sure is stuck-up."

When I first heard "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake, I totally misheard the lyrics. When he says, "'cos I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of dreams." I thought he was saying, "'cause I know what it means to walk alone, the lord is free to greive." Listen to it, you might hear it too! I was like, whaaa?

The line in Jamiroquai's 'Canned heat' that goes "I've got so much canned heat in my heels" used to sound to me like "I've got so much candy in my ears". It wasn't until a few years ago (when I was 15) that somebody pointed out this schoolboy error vwhen I was singing along to it. Well.... half right's not too bad....

Even though the title is 'How Bizarre', I always thought he sang "help is on"...

There's a Dixie Chicks song that goes, "I want to grow something wild and unruly"

I heard it as "I want to grow something wild, Anna Nooly"

This entire time I've been wondering who Anna Nooly was and why the singer was telling her that. O___o;;

in the jamiroquai tune
'Dance, nothing left for me to do but dance,
Off these bad times I'm going through just dance
Got canned heat in my heels tonight baby'

stupidly i thought the last line went

''got candy in my heels tonight big ben''
and a friend thought it was
''got candy in my ears tonight big breath''
!!!

I was sitting next to my nephew, who's 8, at dinner and I could hear him singing very quietly to himself. When I asked him what he was singing, he sang louder : the bee gone gone, the bee gone gone. I was totally bewildered until I caught on to the tune. It was sonny and cher, the beat goes on. He flatly refused to believe me when I told him he had the lyrics wrong :) It stuck in my head for days, the bee gone gone, the bee gone gone ... Uh oh.

Three Green Day lyrics still always stump me:

From Time of Your Life:
-I heard "time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go" as "tounge grabs you by the wrist..."
-I still here "hang it on the shelf in good health and good time" as "hang it on the shelf in good old-fingered time"

Finally, from Boulevard of Broken Dreams, I heard "sometimes I wish someone out there will find me" as "sometimes I wish a water bear will find me."

I knew someone who thought the lyrics to Eiffel 65's "Blue" - "I'm blue da ba dee da ba die" was "I'm blue - I'm in need of a guy."

When I was small I used to watch The Land Before Time a lot. The theme song is 'If We Hold on Together'. Some of the lyrics are:

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

I somehow heard those lyrics (with a mangled tune to match) as:

Blazing motels
One thousand is the total
Waltzing at once
And we'll do it again

I believed this for a very long time. I knew it never made sense but accepted it as fact anyway.
