My family was riding in the car with the radio on. A song came on and my little brother (about 4 at the time) was singing along. But the song had no words. I asked him what he was doing and he replied, "I'm singing the drums."

I believed that my slow-witted best friend had made up the song "Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus Lane!" because ... well, it was so stupid! She told me it was a real song, but I just didn't believe her.
when i was about 4 or 5 for some reason when ever i sang roudolph the red nose reindeer I changed the words to : Rouldolph the red nose reindeer had a very lound maouth and if you ever saw him he would talk to you.
I dont know why i did that maybe i thought my version was better or that i had invented a new christmas song
When I was little (4 or 5) I was scared of thunder, no biggy most kids are right? But then my uncle got a Garth Boorks tape and would play Thunder Rolls, I thought he had a thunder storm in his room and I had to save him. So I would spend the whole song banging on the door tell him he had to get out!!

When I first heard the Last Post played I thought it was for a horse race.
I used to think that the Cupid Shuffle was actually the Cuban Shuffle.
I used to think the name "Lucy" was pronounced "Lussy"(with a short u sound) and that "Linus" was pronounced "Linnus"(with a short i sound). That confused my mom when i asked her for the "Linnus and Lussy" song
One time when I was VERY young some neighbors were playing the popular at-te-time "Pop Music" by M and I asked my mother what that soundwas, coming from next door..she said it was the neighbors playing pop music. Well from then on anytime I heard people talking about pop music(in general), I would yell that it COULD NOT be pop music, since only 'Pop Music' was pop music..took me a year or so and by then, M had become a one-hit-wonder!
In Pre-School someone told me that Santa was the person in the kitchen with Dina.
The first few times I heard "We Built This City" by Starship, I thought that there was something wrong with my radio and the station was cutting in and out, until I realised that was part of the song.
Me and a couple of mates in a science class managed to convince a friend that the song that goes 'your once, twice, three times a lady' went 'Your once, twice, thrice four times a lady' we got the whole class behind the joke. before the end of school she also believed that 'four is the magic number'
i used to believe that my chemcial roamnce got is name from real chemcials but that was not true they got the name form a book. now i fell really dum.
I believed that 'rock' as in music seriously meant an object formed naturally of stone. Rock. So when I heard "We Will Rock You" by Queen, I imagined Wile E. Coyote placing a huge red balancing rock over Road Runner on a cliff.

I thought that the song "Kind of a Drag" was a long commercial for Canada Dry.
I used to listen to "the Nutcracker" Christmas music a lot. One of the songs made me envision a bouncy ball bouncing around the room. I used to chase the bouncy ball too, which my friends were scared of me.
i used to believe that in the alanis morissette song jagged little pill it said "and the cross eyed bear" as opposed to " and the cross i bear"
I used to believe that music videos were the same as live performances of the songs.
That one song, with the 'Shaka khan, shaka kahn' chorus? I used to think that when I was alone in the room, the song would extend the chorus longer just to somehow 'get me'. I'd have to flee the room.
I used to beleive that when a woman and a man was singing duet on a song, they were actually singing to each other because they were going together.
