I used to believe that the stars were holes in the roof of the world, and the light shining through the holes was the light from heaven.

I used to believe that on certain TV shows and movies, that when they said "Houston we have a problem" they were talking to this guy named houston, not talking to NASA in Houston, Texas. I was like "Why do they keep talking to this guy named houston?" Of couse my family tryed not to laugh at me but they couldn't help it.

When at around 2-3 years old - I was at Montevideo as a son of the Soviet diplomat - and I trust this experience had been some basis for my quite deep and sophisticated thought about what life for me is... and is THIS LIFE at all FOR ME??? or I am just a "weird accidential appearanace of my soul" during someone's REAL LIFE.
Time passed by - I grew up and even now - I am sure - the Life around is many ways similar to what Matrix movie has explained as "shell" mode.

The joy and pain of this life of course is what was absorbed by our (I belive - multidimential!) brain.
we all are well trained to "mute" our real feelings in the course of day to day route from baby to grave.
The Universe will be still there wnen we die - while we are sure the "real us" will never die - and for me this is something not very religious - the feeling iniside is "my own" and I can inderstand that lots of people would agree to share this sweet experience and for me every thinking as above - is enlightening my soul and I start to distance from everyday "stupid" deeds, going at work, breakfast, transport.

Only going to sleep at night remaing one of the "real" things - and this is a "right connection" towards sweet and "awaken" feelings as whan I was kid.
I wish all of us stay kids in our heart and be open to society as much as we can agree to be. Openness creates OCEAN of GOOD and HAPPY BEING.
I may sound weird and even lost of mind :) - while I am trying as I said to be OPEN]

Best regards,
Oleg from Moscow

When we used to go out in the car at night i would look up at the moon and wonder why we never left it behind. I figured out that there was a man in the moon driving it and following us.
Now my mum had previously told me that the moon was made out of cheese, so i obviously came to the conclusion that he ate the cheese to stay alive which is why the moon has holes in it..........i still believe there is a man in the moon to this very day, i mean how else would you explain it?? ;)

From the ages of 5-13 I always thought that there was a door to the universe, because I just couldn't make sense of the fact that it was never ending. I thought there were loads of 'rooms' full of galaxies and planets.

My dad told me once that the moon was made of cheese. And that the man on the moon wouldn't let us have any cheese. It always made me wonder why earth wasn't made of cheese too, and why the moon just didn't melt. To tell you the sad truth... I believe that until I was in middle school.

I used to wonder that if man wanted to reach the stars in rockets, why didn't he just go up at night? Duh!!!

I was shocked in 1st grade when they told me there was no face on the moon. I hate to say this, guys, I still see it. I used to believe this was because the moon was a person.

When I was about 4 or 5 or so, on the way back home from school, I'd quite often stare at the sun for ages, because I thought it was a hole in the sky (if you really stare at it, it looks that way). I was a stupid child in some respects, and I wear glasses to this day - I'll probably always wonder if the two things are linked.

I knew Earth was round, but I thought that we lived inside the Earth. I was so confused at how the space shuttle could get though the sky. The day the shuttle took off I searched the sky for the hole that it must have left.

Once, I was laying on my driveway with my sister and friend at night just looking at the stars and I got a good idea. I told my sister that we were getting tans, and if you layed there long enough you could get really tan. She believed me, and I finally set her straight last year.

When I was young, I thought that the chirping sound that we always heard outside at night was the sound of the stars twinkling. Only later I found out it was really crickets chirping.

When I was little, I used to believe, that when the moon was in crescent shape, that it was actually the Cheshire cat's smile(alice in wonderland) It kind of scared me a little as well....

I used to believe that the light switch in my room controlled the sun, and when I turned out my light before going to bed, the sun would go out too.

I used to believe that the moon was a reflection of the earth and the darker spots were the different continents reflections.

I used to love to stare at the moon when I was younger. My mum told me if I point at the moon, my ear would drop off / be cut off.
I had visions of a moon man (obviously with a face like the moon) coming down and slicing off my ears with his moon knife.

I'm 22 now. I still won't point at the moon.
