I used to worry that Earth would bump into another planet or that it would end up too close to the sun and FRY us. :(
I used to believe that when you were looking at a full moon, you were really looking at the other side of the Earth.
I used to believe that we live "in" earth instead of "on" earth and that asia and America were on opposite end inside a globe. When the rockets (Space Craft) went into space it actually created a hole in the earth.
I thought the patterns on a full moon were people up there at a table having dinner together
When I was in kindergarden I was sure that our astronauts had travelled to Mars and the other planets. I remember thinking that the red sand I saw in a decorative glass jar must have been brought back by the astronauts on one of their missions to Mars.
I use to believe that my dad put the star in the sky at night for me to look at.
Until I was about 5 or 6 I used to believe that the area of the moon that you can't see when it's not full just wasn't there. I learned it from Bugs Bunny cartoons.
My 7 year old daughter was watching the news with me when they mentioned that the Mir Space Station would be "crashing down tonight". She was almost hysterical, certain that it was going to fall directly on her bed.
I used to get really worried if I could see the moon out during the day, like a few hours before sundown. I thought that it would use up all its light during the day and not have enough light to shine through the night.
When I was 3 I had my own explanation about day and night: The earth was a tinny ball into a giant's mouth. When the giant's was yawned, the light was coming into his mouth and it was day, otherwise it was night !
i believed that if astronauts flew up into space high enough, they would reach heaven.
I used to be afraid that the moon would fall out of the sky and come crashing thru our roof.
I used to think that wherever there was a vacuum, there was no graity and wherever there was no gravity, there was a vacuum. I don't know how I explained to myself the people in space shuttles, though.
When I was about 6/7 I was convinced that the world was something stuck in a giant jam jar that belonged to a giant or God or something, so whenever I left my house I would look up to the sky, wave, and say hello.
i used to believe that the sun and the moon were in the atmosphere of the earth...
i used to believe the atmosphere had a door and a code like in spaceballs and when spaceships went through it they could only go through that door.
when i was about 7, i thought the moon was made of cheese, my dad told me it was true
i used to belive that the earth had a glass case ove r it
I used to believe that the moon landing was a fake...all because my mom had made a joke that I thought was real
I used to believe that the moon was the place where I was living and this planet was a reflection to it.
