I used to believe that the moon was a big cheese wheel
I used to believe that the moon was made of biscuit and flour.
When I was little I always saw a 'woman in the moon', not a man. When other people would talk about the man in the moon I thought they were tricking me or being mean to the woman by calling her a man. I still see a woman in the moon.
Tell 10 years old I really believed that the moon was made of cheese, and that it is very easy to get there. I also believed that if you jump high enough, you can fly. I had great moments jumping and thinking that, I still remember the feeling of almost flying, great imagination can make you feel wonderful sometimes-
When I was about five years old, I used to think that the world was turned inside out. (i.e. the people walked around on the inside of the earth's crust, instead of the outside.) I also thought that the sun was a small ball in the very center of my inside-out world, about where the earth's core is.
I used to believe that the sun & moon were the same size and that they both revolved around the earth.
I used to think the earth was flat.
When I was 8 I've read about black holes. Black hole sucks everything... I thought it's inside my toilet.
I used to look at the big dipper question mark and think why everything in space looks still, yet moving somehow...where are they going..or what holds all the things in space? I was most awed when I learned our planet earth like is moving across space and we are not falling off of it somehow? Also I believed the shooting stars are actually bodies moving off to another space-time dimension!
My little brother once was in the car with the sun in his eyes. He told me to shut it off.
Another time, he was lying on the couch, and the sun was in his eyes again. He told me to close the window, and I told him that it wouldn't matter if the window was closed; it's made of glass. He then demanded that I pick him up and reposition him so that he wasn't facing the window. Are all kids that lazy when they're five?
The moon was made from cheese
my friend had a teacher who was convinced that the world really was flat, and for a while he had her convinced too! until she figured out that, logically, that can't really be true what with the orbits around the sun, and such
I usted ha believe chat the Moon más cheese, It más wery interesting.
When I was a child I used to believe that the moon was a big lamp.
When I was a child, I used to believe that the sun followed me.
When I was 3 or 4, my dad told me that it was cold on Mars. Being an impressionable child, I assumed that Mars was the outermost planet in the solar system. Fortunately, an early obsession with outer space fixed that when I was 6 or 7.
I used to believe that universe is very much part of our world. Stars are twinkling because there are many matter between the star and me which is obstructing the view, like when we travel in the train in night and see a distant light flickering through many obstruction which cannot be seen in the dark. I used to also believe that since earth is rotating at the surface nearly 5 miles per second. so, why not the aeroplane merely stand in the sky and drop down when the earth moves below and come to the destination.
I am sure you enjoyed my childhood beliefs.
Thanks

In Thailand, I used to (probably still do) believe that if you point your finger at the Moon, it will come down at midnight and cut the bottom part of your ear.
Funny how I remember I also got cut once. Huh?
I used to believe that we didn't live On the planet, but IN the planet and that when you crossed the sky on an airplane you could arrive in China. It was a shock to me when I heard the truth :)
that there really was a man on the moon at all times
