I used to believe we lived on the INSIDE of the earth instead of on top of it because I would hear them say "The astronauts broke through the crust of the earth" and I was amazed they could get through all that dirt.

When I was around 8 I used to think about the enormity of the universe and have panic attacks, and sometimes nightmares (blind terror) when I thought about what we humans really are, and how we came into being. I wondered; was our universe just a crumb on the table of a giant. I was always being told off by my Dad for "having my head in the clouds", and forgetting things.
I used to believe that a man lived on the moon and he would talk to me when we drove around at night in the car.

i used to believe, very far below, right at the bottom of space there were huge treasure trunks full of giant rubies and pearls and fairies and giants guarded them.it was all really pretty
I thought that the moon wasn't cheese, but quite possibly a cookie. I got this belief from watching Rugrats, where in a certain episode, the babies imagined themselves as dinosaurs and wanted to eat the moon, since it WAS a cookie. The way they showed it, the moon looked kinda tasty.
I believed that the sun sets and rise again as a moon until it was studied in my first Science class.
