When I was about 6 we lived in Alaska in an apartment complex. There was a small water hole in the woods behind the apartment building where the kids used to go play. One day I went down there and all the kids were staring at this one kid in the water hole as he was splashing around like he was drowning. I asked why no one would help him and was told that this was a portal the devil used and that the devil had a hold of the kid's legs. So they were all scared to help him. From that point on I thought that all open bodies of water led to the devil and was always scared he was going to grab my feet and pull me down.

I used to think from the age of about 5 to 8 that the only reason the sea was ther was because someone had turned on a tap at their house n filled up lots n lots of buckets of water and emptied them in2 a big dip in the ground until the it was full because they didnt ave anything betta 2 do considerin tv hadnt been invented

My first trip to the beach was when I was 12 years old, to make this a special occation my parents got us a hotel near the ocean. So during the first night there I thought that the water from the ocean was gonna get out of the ocean and we were gonna drawn (because of all the noise from the waves) :P.

I used to believe the old story of how water drains backwards in the southern hemisphere. I believed this until I was 24 years old and actually researched it. I regularily run into people who still think it is true, but I can't laugh at them because... well, that used to be me.

when i was a child,my mum said that dont play under the rain. because you will sick .I belief that it would be floot so i'm going to drown. but now i was 16yrs, i know there wouldn't any floot of water.

I used to beleive that the water in the deep open well is because of some special rain right into the well when we are in sleep. This was told by my elder brother - I don't know wheather he also beleived so or not !
