I used to think that when the trees moved their branches it got windy outside.
i used to think that when wind came, since trees sway, that trees made the wind, and i used to get mad when i looked at the sky.
As a small child I must have believed that trees were highly flexible since they were responsible for creating the wind when they thrashed around.

When I was little I asked my mother what made the wind blow. She told me that the trees made the wind blow. Sure enough, whenever it is windy out side, I could see the trees waving their branches so that we could enjoy the breeze. As far as I know....she was right.

To this day, I'm still a bit nervous about going near trees when it's stormy!
When I was a kid there were huge trees opposite our house. Unsurprisingly I thought that the wind was caused by the trees waving about!
