Someone told me about walking on clouds whe I was young. naturally, I belived that was possible. But the clouds never came so close so I could try. :-(
I thought that when it was raining it rained all over the world! I also belived that it was dayeverywhere at the same time.
when i was a child i used to curse when it used to rain when i was on my way to school. the explaination my mother gave me for the rain was that god and his angels were doing the washing and the rain was when the water spilled out of the bath on them. funny enough i have passed it on to my children since. it is a nice idea though.

I used to believe that weather forecastors decided what the weather would be. When they forecasted rain for my area i thought they were delibrately being mean!!!

I thought that the map of England used on the weather forecast was the plot of land our house was built on. It never occured to me that it couldn't possibly be freezing and snowing out front and 5 degrees warmer and sunny out the back at the same time!

I used to believe that sky-scrapers literally scraped the sky. I thought that they moved around and caused the cirrus type cloud formation because cirrus looks like cumulus that has been scraped. I would look up and whenever I saw cirrus I always used to think - "Damn, I missed the sky-scrapers again".

My friend Sergio told me he used to believe that those streaky slicks of petrol you see in puddles sometimes were dead rainbows.

When I was very little, I believed that when people said it might "hail", that little Tasmanian Devils would fall from the sky. I thought they were saying it was "helling" outside.
When they talked about the jet stream on the weather, I thought they were talking about the smoke trails that jet planes leave in the sky.
I used to believe that the clouds had a fixed position within themselves and if I stood in the same place at the same time every day I would see the same cloud pass by again.
I used to believe that the light rays coming through the clouds was God.
When I was child I thought above the sky is filled up with water and when there there is a puncture it is raining
I used to believe that it rained everywhere at the same time. (I came from a small country, it was mostly true.) I don't remember how I explained the fact that we never got snow.
I used to beleive that if you see a rainbow you will get good luck
