I used to belive that when it rained god was crying because I did something bad again
On cloudy days, I used to believe that God had kept his "blinds" shut because he wasn't dressed.
I thought that lightening was God taking pictures.
I also believed that thunder was God yelling at the Angels for not cleaning their rooms.
I grew up in New England, and every winter I'd notice a correlation between snow and ice on nearby lakes. I thought it went like this: When the weather gets cold enough, you get snow. When that snows falls on a lake, it mixes with the water to make ice (like jello). I firmly believed until I was about 11 or 12 that ice could not appear without snow, and if it did, it just meant it snowed while I was asleep.
I believed that when it rained it was only raining on my family.... that there was only one cloud above our house or car just following us wherever we would go. I used to think that I would give anything just so the damn cloud would go away and rain on some other family. LOL!!!!
I used to believe that the top of the clouds looked exactly the way it did on the Care Bears Cartoon and if you looked at the clouds you could see a care bear peeking over the sides
I used to believe that the large building/skyscrapers that made smoke were "cloud machines"
when i was little i told my brother that when it rained it was gods toilet overflowing
I used to believe that rain was actually the tears of Angels crying...
and I always wondered what made all the Angels cry at the same time.
I used to believe clouds were formed by jets and their exhaust.
I used to believe that if passed beneath a rainbow I would turn into a woman.
When I was a child, I thought that clouds were made of cotton and when you went to a very high mountain you could touch them
I was certain that rain was created by God having a pee and flushing his huge toilet above us
Watching the "Wizard of OZ" as a child made me fearful of the wind. Everytime it blew I got scared out of my mind. I still get a little frightened whenever the wind blows to this day, but nothing like as a child.
this happened when i was quite small. it was during the rainy season when i asked my cousin (who wasn't really too old either) what exactly caused lightning. my cousin who had his own scientific beliefs told me that lightning was caused by god who was was sitting there above and clicking our photographs. needless to say whenever lightning struck, me and my other cousins would jump up and down hoping our's would be the best picture.
When I was a little girl, I believed that the sun was "going inside" to get a cookie from his mother whenever it was covered by a cloud. When the day was particularly cloudy, and the sun was going "in and out" alot, then eventually became overcast, I thought "he" got in trouble for asking his mother for a cookie too many times and had to stay inside.
When I was little, my older cousin lead me to believe that when it rained, someone had made God upset, and he was crying! And when it snowed, for some reason, God was tearing up his bed-sheets!
When I was like 5 or something, I used to be afraid of the snow. The first time it snowed, I was scared to walk on the snow cause I thought If I did, I would fall down past the snow into no where cause I thought the grass was gone. I would walk slowly and be scared, thinking soon I would fall deep down. My dad soon told me that I wouldn't disappear in the snow.....
When i was younger my grandmother told me that when it rained, all the angels up in heaven were having a washing day and pouring their water over the clouds! I still think that it is a realy nice way to picture rain
Once when I was about 5, I asked my older sister ( Who was only about 8)
what clouds were. She told me once she was in a plane and somehow opened the window. She said it felt fluffy and tasted yummy....I admit I believed her at the time!
I used to believe that the world was actually a snowglobe and when it snowed, that meant God was shaking us up!
