I used to believe that when it rained that ment God was really sad about something.
I used to think that rain was God crying over man's sins.
i used 2 fink rain is wen god is crying about how bad we behave
I used to believe that when it would rain, God or Jesus. . . or some one in heaven was crying.
Whenever it was foggy outside i used to think that God was cleaning his house. I thought that the fog was the dust form his house.
I used to think I was allergic to the sun because everytime I looked at it I would sneeze
I thought that if you wet the ground with a garden hose or sprinkler, it would make it rain.
I used to believe that when it rained, it actually was raining all over the world, when it was day it was all over the world and the same at night.
I also had figured out how raindrops were formed! God had this really huge bucket which had tiny holes at the bottom so when he wanted to rain he would simply take the bucket, fill it with water and hold it over the world!
Also, in the song "sweet dreams" by Eurythmics, i was hearing "sweet dreams are made of cheese" which i found very strange because cheese is not sweet.
Rain is the tears of Allah.
when someone explained to me that the other side of the earth was opposite of us i thought this meant that when we were in summer, china was having winter.
I used to believe that sound of the sky (still not sure where it comes from exactly) just before a storm, when clouds were gray and it sounded like rain was about to start, that it meant God was growling. Apparently he was growling either because he was angry or he was telling everyone to go back inside. Either way, he was saying, "It's about to rain."
I always thought that, when Mama told me he was mad before a storm, that he was mad because he had plans that would be ruined because of the rain. I stopped believing that all at about ten.
I habe been believed you can get on the cloud.
When I was 3 or 4, my father carried me outside at night and I caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing around in the sky. I thought it was a ghost and was so scared that I always closed my eyes when I had to go outside in the dark.
I thought that aeroplane vapour trails were the cause of clouds. I think my mother told me at some point that the stuff that came out of the back of a plane was water vapour, which is what clouds are made from, and I interpreted this to mean that that was how all clouds were made. That and the cooling towers of a power plant near my home. I didn't think it was there specifically to make clouds, I just thought they were a side effect.
When i was little i believed that the loud wind you heard was a big monster coming to eat us all! So when i heard that i would run to the house. 2 years ago i figured out that that wasn't true. And I'm 15!

when i was little i thought that rain was the pee of giants lol
I used to believe that everytime when there's sunray shining through the clouds, it's the stairway for the souls to climb up to heaven
i wasn't a religious child, but when i was about 6 or 7 i used to believe that god had to pee when it rained.
Growing up in Australia I was used to hearing weather alerts.
One that has been with me for about 35 years (I feel so embarrassed that I didnt get corrected years ago) is where the weather man says:
"There is a sheet weather alert"
Now I thought it meant that the rain was so hard, it's coming down 'in sheets'.
My mum nearly pee'd herself laughing when I recently told her this one.
It's actually a "sheep weather alert" for the farmers.
When I was little, whenever the clouds covered the sun, I used to think that it was because the sun had to shine else where in the world or else it wouldn't be fair if my house had all the sunshine.
