I thought that when it rained God had a giant hose...
i used to believe rain was the sky crying
One day when I was about 6 years old, I was watching the weather and I noticed on the bottom of the screen it said, "Skycast: Green".
Being so young and hearing that when the sky turned green, tornadoes were likely to happen, I started crying my eyes out.
My mom told me, "They don't mean the sky is actually green; they just mean there's not that much pollen in the air. Now calm down!"
That confused the crap outta me for a year or two. :P
I believed that if I would blow in a certain direction, a strong wind would circle the entire earth and come from behind me in a few days.
That Icould hide the sun with clouds at my will, and it did work everytime.
Because I lived in the tropics when I was little, I used to believe winter is only in December. In January and February it should be warm again. Imagine my surprise when I moved to Europe to study.
My Brother Told Me That When It Rains God Is Crying. I Believe Him. Now I'm 13 And I Still Believe That.
My friend used to say that when it rained, it was God crying.
When I was quite young I knew there were two kinds of snow: white and black. I didn't know where the black snow came from but I knew where to find it -- alongside the road. One day I said to myself (because I also thought I had to explain my actions by thinking out loud, like on TV) that I was already familiar with the taste of white snow but not black snow. So I scooped up a handful and put it in my mouth. Needless to say, it tasted just awful and I never did that again!
When I was in kinder, me and my friend Jackie would sit on the play-equiptment for hours and hours with our mouths open, "Eating The Wind"...
hee hee so cute!
I used to believe that it couldn't possibly rain until there was no blue left showing in the sky. I was very surprised by my first sun-shower, and I'm pretty sure it happened while I was in high school!
When I was riding in the car a rainbow appeared in the sky out the front windshield. I wanted my father to drive faster so we could go under it before it disappeared. I discovered that rainbows were optical phenomena and not physical objects when playing with the garden hose. The rainbow produced by the spray would always be the same size and if I tried to get closer or change my viewpoint it would vanish.
Rain was God taking a piss.
When I was young, I used to think that windmills in fields started the wind.
When i was about 5, i'd play barbies in front of the window because the sun beams would always shine on the carpet. So i made my barbie's go tanning in the sunbeams and i noticed that the sunbeams would go away and then come back and i looked out the window and see that the sun was still out but there were no sunbeams. My mom was sitting near me on the couch and i asked her "When the sunbeams go away, is the sun breathing?" and she said "yes" but i don't think she was really paying attention. So for the longest time i thought everytime the sun went away, it was inhaling and when it exhaled the sun came back. Stupid me, later i found out it was just a cloud in front of the sun.
when I was young I believed that when God was angry and sad, that's when we see rain and thunder...
I used to believe that whenever it rained, god was pissing on the world.
when i was young i used to think hail was made out salt water, like from the ocean
When it rain, i though God just threw a bucket of water to water the plants.
I used to think clouds were countries!
