I used to believe, until I was 5, (I'm 12 now) that the little design in the bottom of paper shopping bags was a monster, and when I got too close to the bottom, I would get attacked.(Well, anyway, it looked like a design when I held it to a light, and saw the overlapping paper, but I also thought that that was the only way you could see the "monster".)

so i'm 7 and looking through this mail order catalogue full of high-tech gizmos and wanting most of it but thinking i'd never save enough money for any of it. after all, it was all over $100. then i saw it. some items said "rush" and then a much smaller amount. so i asked my aunt what that meant and when she explained i was perpelexed.
why would anyone spend 100 on something and have it take a month to be delivered when you could just spend 7 and get it in less than a week?

When I was little, I believed that the grocery store was just a gigantic pantry that you went to get things to fill your house pantry with. I didn't realize that my parents paid for the stuff, so on one of the trips to the store, I took a candy bar and began to eat it.....Boy did I get in trouble!

In recent years, I thought 50 Shades of Grey was just an ordinary book series until I bought one from Ann Summers, cos I hadn't realized it was a sex shop, like Victoria's Secret.

When I was little, I thought that people paid their employers to let them work. When my mom told me that people got paid to work, I was shocked.

Also, one time I asked my mom why anyone would shop at Fashion Bug because Fashion Bug plus had better cloths, hence the word "Plus."

when i was younger my aunt, my grandma (who i called momo) and my mother all told me that the manakins in the stores would bite me if i touched them. needless to say, they didn't, but i still cringe when i see them. i happen to have a very vivid imagination, and i can just imaging one jumping out at me!

I thought that outlet malls were called outlet malls because they let you out of the stores, since there werent any corridors to walk through between the stores.

I used to believe that drug stores sold both legal AND illegal drugs. I always wondered why they never got shut down by the police.

At the Home Depot hardware stores, they have those zany little trucks driving up and down the aisles, like, all the time. My little sister and I were always terrified of the things and when we heard the beep-beep-beeping noise they make to keep customers from getting crushed under the wheels, me and my sis would run away from our parents screaming all the while. Usually, our pissed parents would end up in the kitchen department where a floor manager would direct them to a set of display cabinets containing their frightened little girls. Why would you ever bring small children to Home Depot?

When I was little I thought that whenever you got off of an escalator at the mall you had to pull the black rubber hand rail along so that it kept running for other people and the people behind you wouldn't get stuck in the middle of the escalator. I thought it was so rude when someone would get off without pulling the rail to keep it going for everyone else.

When I was around 8 years old, My Mom wanted to take me into the “Sears-Roebuck” store. I didn’t want to go because I thought she was saying the “Sears-Robot” store. I was afraid there would be robots in the store that would chase me around.
