That when you paid so much money for weight-loss programs, that you paid all the money on a needle to peirce your tummy and let the fat pour out. I believed that till around ten.
I used to think when i was around 6-7 years old that braces where made and installed only on little girls to avoid them to kiss boys and thought there was a some kind of battery-powered electrical device on the braces that gives shock to whoever tries to kiss them on the lips.
When I was a child, I used to believe my parents were superheroes, like the fairly oddparents!
Years ago I thought old ladies pushed hat-pins through their heads to secure their hats.
When I was 10 i believed that you had another person who looked like you on the other parts of the world.
When I was a kid my dad told me that in a package of socks there was a right sock and a left sock.
when i was littel i saw an albino lady and mum told me to be very nice to albinos as thier angels sent to spy on us my albino mate laughes at it crazy lookingback at it
I used to believe that football players held their shoulders up in a 'shrug' position so as to look tough to the other team. I thought that they must get real tired of holding them up by the end of the game.
when i was younger i used to think that nude beaches were beaches with square 5 feet tall hedges, and a man and a woman got in to one of these edges, took off all their clothes and talked etc... in private
If you pulled a face, and the clock struck on the hour, your face would stay in that position.
I used to believe that if I pouted too long, my mouth would stay that way! My big sisters told me this one and seeing that I was the only one in the family with full lips....I believed it!!
I was raised in a very charasmatic/strict christian home. Once, at a religious conference when I was about 6 We sat in front of two African American women wearing large gold hoop earrings and long red fingernails. I thought it was weird they were there because surely they couldn't be christians and dress like that! Looking back I see how stupid that was.
I used to believe that if you took a shower after a day of tanning the tan would come off in the shower
I remember a down-filled jacket I had always wanted (you know the large puffy-looking type).
One Christmas Santa brought it for me and I was thrilled until I looked at a label on the jacket that said "outerwear", which I mis-read as "underwear" and I refused to ever put that jacket on. I thought it was ridiculous that anyone would wear underwear outside their clothes to stay warm!
Children–beware of what you ask for… (and always read the tag twice!)
When i was 4, the adults in my family told me that if i made funny faces, my face would remain as such. for years i feared mking funny faces and told my friends to be careful.
My mom told me not to do certain things like "make faces" or it would freeze like that. I thought that is where mannequins come from. Adults & kids who had just froze like that because they were doing things they weren't supposed to do.
Like many children are told, I thought that if you made a face for too long your face would freeze like that.
One night, I went to my parents crying as I was afraid to go to sleep because I thought if I fell asleep, I'd close my mouth and it would stick like that and I'd suffocate.
that....I do not grow old (in size)...rather my clothes and shoes shrink..
I used to believe all down-syndrome people were related and that they were just a really big family I didn't think they were any different from normal people just thought they were all related
Like most kids, adults told me when I was little that if I make a face it would get stuck like that. My neighboor's mom had a lip deformity and I always thought it just got stuck like that. Years later I found out she had medical problem.
