top belief!
In my pre-school years, I believed I was in a story book that God was looking at. A new day would dawn when the He turned the page.
You know that one man's voice on radio ad's and movie previews? When I was little, I thought that was the Voice of God, running the whole show.
my uncle and my aunt were my godparents but they never talked to me about God. so when Mom was annoyed and said God I always pictured a fried egg! don't know why
My family was not religious, but when I was four I asked my father if he believed in God or not. He answered, "I'm waiting to see the burning bush." For years I thought that God was a burning bush and that in order to believe, you had to have seen a bush on fire.

As a little Jewish girl, I couldn't understand my Christian friends concept of Easter. They would say "The Son rises", and I would think, "So what, it rises every day!"
When I was 4 or so I believed that the Holy Ghost was really a ghost. Every night I had this kind of vision of a door opening, leading to steps going down and the Holy Ghost, looking like one of the white sheet variety, would come floating up the steps
I used to believe that God sat on top of clouds. You couldn't see him if you were directly beneath a cloud, but if you ran to the end of a field you could view the cloud from an angle and maybe get a glimpse of him.
I used to think that I.N.I.R on the crucifix meant "I'm nailed right in".
Good looked exactly like George Washington.
I have no idea where I got this.
For about a month when I was four I went around telling people that God didn't exist because I said he had to bring my doll to life and he didn't. Stupid, i know. LOL Then for a while I thought my dad was Jesus because he had long hair and is Middle-eastern.
When I was a kid, my church was big on the church calendar and the parts of Jesus's life -- like, in early December they would talk about Advent, when Mary and Joseph were traveling to Bethlehem, and then the end of December when he was born, and then they go fleeing from Herod, and then sometime in January you hear about him being a kid being about his father's business, etc. etc. until you get to Good Friday when he dies on the cross and Easter when he rises again. Anyway, for quite a few years I believed that Jesus was born on December 25 of some year (the year 0, presumably), and then grew to adulthood within the course of about four months, and was killed the next Easter.
It's fairly ridiculous, all right, but not any more ridiculous than a lot of other things they were trying to get us to believe...

when i was about 10, my mom broke the news that santa, the easter bunny, and the toothfary were not real... so i aksed her, "mom was it you the whole time?" and she said "yes baby, it was" so i looked at her, started crying and said "MOM?! ARE YOU GOD TOO?!"

when i was about 4 or 5 i used to beleive that jesus was a horse....well we were always told that he was born in a manger, so it seemed logical, i just couldnt figure out why we were all worshiping a horse.....

When I was little and was sent to my room, I used to imagine that God used to tell me off in my room, the funny thing was that he looked like inspector gadget without legs (he floated near my window).

I used to think that Jesus was killed by a guy called The Conscious Pilot. And I was like "but I didn't think they had ariplanes back then"
When I was little I was looking at a painting of heaven and hell and the depiction of Satan really creeped me out. My grandma told me to watch out for the devil because he has blonde hair, blue eyes, and he wears blue jeans. I wouldn't go near blonde-haired men for weeks!
When I was a kid...I'm not even sure how old I was, but I was always forced to go to sunday school where they would teach us, 'God is everywhere.'
My mind couldn't decide that God was a big head watching us from the clouds, or a bunch of invisible doll-sized Jesus's stacked up against eachother, filling the whole of the universe. Don't ask me. I don't know.

No joke- I used to think the religious hierarchy went (low to high) God, then Santa Claus, then this oddly shaped piece of black plastic that I found.
