When I was younger we used to go to church a fair bit and I actually thought God's name was "Peter"...
You know, at the end of a reading you'd have to say "Thanks Peter God"...
Yeah, yeah... now I know it's "Thanks be to God".

I used to believe that Jews, Christians and Muslims were just another group of Christians like Catholics, Baptists, etc. And I used to think that Muhammad Ali and Moses were the same person, and that's why he was so popular.
I believed that Jesus was still walking around the earth, visiting people. So, I asked my mother how old she was when the baby Jesus was born.
When I was about 5 years old I used to believe that the voice of the woman that sings hymns in church was the voice of Virgin Mary(maybe because the singing group wasn't that visible and I was tiny)
I was with my mother in the early sixties, and we saw two nuns walking on the sidewalk. These were the first nuns I'd seen in real life, and I was very excited. My mother explained to me that," You always see them in pairs. This is because they're afraid if one goes out alone, she'll surely run away."

In grade five I believed that 'virgin' was synonomous with 'a kind person', like the Virgin Mary. I couldn't understand the shrieks of my classmates when I exclaimed in an argument that I wasn't *always* a virgin!

As a toddler hearing about Jesus comming into my heart made me a little curious but happy because I (even then) had a passion for Jesus. I believed that a little man (of how I pictured Jesus) would actually live in my heart
I was about 5; I had to go to church (my dad was a CofE vicar at the time) and I had this belief I knew God's real name.
It was 'Peter'
How did I know this? Well in church people chanted the words "Thanks Peter God" rather a lot...
i used to believe that part of Christ's greatness was the fact that he managed to accomplish so much all in the space of 4 months - between when he was born on Christmas and Easter, when he died.

Raised a Baptist, I was taught to believe in Jesus' imminent return. Accordingly, I often would gaze at the sky in hope of seeing Him descend in glory from the clouds--an event I avidly awaited, as I was anxious not only to enter bliss eternal and to meet Jesus and Jehovah but to meet Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets, who was my hero at the time.

Digging tunnels in the dirt in the play-yard of the daycare center in which I was imprisoned while my parents worked, I feared briefly that I may dig too deeply and reach Hell and thereby loose Satan upon the Earth's surface.
I used to think my priest was a bit foolish for never having noticed that Dog is God written backwards

My sister told me that the Holy Spirit was just some guy that turned himself into a dove. Yeah... that was really embarrassing when my religion teacher asked us who the Holy Spirit was and I responded with that question. I was sure I was right! Thanks sis!
In 1st grade, my teacher told us to draw a scene from the Bible. I drew Adam, Eve and the serpent prior to the Fall from grace, and I gave the serpent legs. "Why does the serpent have legs?" my teacher asked. "Well," I answered, "as a punishment for making Eve eat from the apple, God told it "upon thy belly shalt thou go", which means that prior to man's fall the serpent did not crawl but walk."
I used to belive that God was the sun. And mum always told me that God was among us people, so therefore I was always drawing feets on the sun. hi hi....
