This is somewhat embarrassing when I look back on it. When I was about eight years old, my grandma would always buy those newspapers with headlines such as 'Elvis has Alien Child'. As a child, I was fascinated with these type of stories. I happened to read a story saying that scientists had proof the world was going to end on September 1, 1994. One day I wrote in the fog on my bedroom window "God Please Don't Let The World End". Imagine how I felt when September 1st came, I was scared to death!

When I was ten years old, I firmly believed in god and I thought he controlled all of the weather on earth. I also believed that if you are a good person, you will go to heaven when you die, but if you are a bad person, you will go to hell. When I was told the truth about Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy when I was twelve, I quickly stopped believing in god and that there was a heaven and hell. I thought "If Santa is not real, then why would god be real?"

In Sunday School as a child, I was taught that "Jesus made no mistakes," so every time I was working on homework and wrote something wrong and had to go back and erase it, I was a little jealous that Jesus didn't have to use and eraser-that he did his homework right the first time.

I used to belive that God looked like Ms. Clavel from the animated show "Madeline". Hahaha. Iloved that show.

When I was little, I thought God lived on my nightstand. He was like 3 inches tall, had a long green robe, and had the face identical to my Uncle Harvey - white scruffy beard, round glasses. When people mention God now, that's all I can picture.

For about a month when I was four I went around telling people that God didn't exist because I said he had to bring my doll to life and he didn't. Stupid, i know. LOL Then for a while I thought my dad was Jesus because he had long hair and is Middle-eastern.

I used to think that Jesus was English. It made sense to me at the time because Mary and Joseph are English names. Well, Joseph is a Jewish name but he wasn't Jesus' father. God was! He isn't Jewish...Don't even look Jewish...
God is Church Of England. Her Majesty the Queen's church!

I used to believe that Jesus was Catholic and Portuguese. I was probably 12 when my Orthodox Jewish neighbors explained to me that he was neither Catholic or Portuguese. I ran home crying to my mom telling her what the neighbors next door were telling me and she sat me down and explained to me that this was the truth.

I used to believe in god as a person, like a humanoid being and he had magic powers and was friends with Jesus and the holyspirit and his enemy was the devil and if you wern't of a particular religion then this guy would not let you live forever.
