i used to belive that the world was spinning because a basketball player was spinning it on his finger and if someone stole it from him the world would forever be in a night or day

Once when I was much younger I had recieved a helium balloon for my birthday. After playing with it, I popped it. I quickly grabbed a nearby bucket and held the ballon over it waiting for it to leak out. After all, my mom said it was filled with gas.

When i was younger I learned how that Earth spins, I tried to spin the opposite way the earth was going so I wouldn't get dizzy. After that failed I asked my teacher,"If the earth spins, why am I not dizzy."

I was so embarrased.

I used to think that the world doesn’t spin because we aren’t thrown against the walls while trying to move or just being idle.

There is the common children's belief that stars really are tiny things shining in space, although they are suns, just like ours in the universe.

When I first learnt about atoms, for some reason I thought that if you shot a gun. You would be killing thousands of atoms as the bullet shot through the air.

I thought if you are exposed to radiation you would instantly mutate and grow extra arms or something like in the comic books. I also thought it could turn you into part animal-part human creature

When I first found out the the world is constantly moving and we can't feel it I used to to think when ppl feel it was b/c the world was either moving too fast thatday and that person could feel it or it moved the wrong way and that person felt it. hehe

You all know that you cant see the world turn well, when I was real young when I got dizzy I used to think I could see the world turn (becuase it looks likes the room is turning)!!

One of my friend told me that if you place a coin on a railway track and when the train passes on it, it would turn into a magnet. I tried many times on the tracks at the amuzement park to make a magnet out of a coin and well, I kept on losing my money. One day I realized that it doesn’t happen with a small train so everytime we were travelling by train I always wished for a chance to place a coin underneath…….. I never achieved it and I still laugh at myself.

When I was about 6 or so I was fascinated by the fact that when you drop a coin in a fast moving car or train, how it moves through the air at the ame speed, not ending up moving backwards (falling at the point it had been dropped, not straight down). It took a while to realise that this was because the air inside the vehicle was moving too. Even if you open a window.

I must have been told in a lesson or something that the world spun, because after that I couldn't understand the concept properly and came to the conclusion that when we walked we were just lifting our feet up and down in the same place but that the world moved underneath us!!
