I used to think that you were just "blessed" with a baby, because people would always say "they were blessed with a baby etc." I thought that just anybody random people were blessed by god with a baby and became pregnat.
my sister used to believe that if you stood in front of the microwave while it was going that you would get pregnant
when i was a kid i got told that inorder to get pregnant a woman had to go to santa and ask if he would give her a baby for christmas probably because my sister was born 1 week before christmas and was brought home on christmas day :\
Once when i was twelve I had a dream I was prergnant and the dream was so vivid so for a few days I actually believed I might be pregnant
STUPID ME!
I used to think that you got a girl pregnant by peeing in her. I almost had it right too!
When we staying at hotel I was about 6 and my sister was about 14. She was going down to the spa by herself and I heard my mum saying "watch out for the old men there! you never know, they take one look at you asleep in the spa and enxt thing you know you wake up pregnant!" from then on I thought that if a man looked at me in the spa i would become pregnant.
I used to believe that if a girl didn't want to get pregnant that all she had to do was have sex with two different boys, one right after the other. The resulting sperms would fight and kill each other off before impregnation could occur. Such "birth control" ignorance of children/teens is utterly amazing and there should be sex ed, with a section on "false ideas about how to avoid pregnancy."
When I was little I asked my Mom where babies came from and she told me that you went to Church and prayed for them. I pictured all these women kneeling in church pews, praying for babies, and walking out pregnant. I believed this for a long time, but finally found out the truth when I got married. (just kidding)
I used to believe god decided when you had a baby. That's what my mum always told me.I thought god would give me 20 babies and I was scared to get married.
Up until the sixth grade, I thought that it wasn't possible for a girl to give birth when she's under the age of 21 (somehow, I was convinced that 21 was the age when you became an adult). I was horrified when I learned the truth in sex ed!!!
I always understood that a man and woman had to 'sleep togather' for the woman to become pregnant... but until I was 12 and learned the whole truth, I thought that just meant they had to sleep in the same bed, nothing else involved. I was so scared when I had to share my dad's bed at his parent's house since their rope bed wasn't made up yet. I was worried I'd get pregnant!
When I was little, I asked about how a woman got pregnant. My mom explained that a man planted a seed in a woman and it grew like in a garden. For years I thought there was dirt and plants in my moms belly and my dad was planting seeds there and this scared me!
When I was about 6 or 7 I used to think that you just GOT pregnant. One of our neighbors was pregnant at the time and I remember asking her if she hoped to have another baby after this one was born. I remember her telling me that they (she and hubby) were not going to have anymore and I was thinking to myself, well , how do you know!

When I was young, I used to believe that moms get pregnant when parents slept on the same bed and rubbed their feet together. It was not until I was 12 I realised.. oh.. wait a minute, I'm missing something here :)
P.S : I NEVER believed that stork bull****, always knew they were hiding the feet-rubbing thing from me :D
Growing up, my mom always wanted us to use our towels 2-3 times before getting a new one. For the longest time, I believed that I could get pregnant by accidentally using my brother's towel. It grossed me out and scared me to death so I would always make sure my towel was totally different from his and if they touched on the rack, I'd only barely use it - just in case.
When I was little, I used to believe that when a mother and a father wanted to have a child, they would pray to God for hours and hours while kissing each other.
Hmmmm...
When I was four, my mother was pregnant with my little sister. She was about 8 months along when I asked my dad, "Why is mommy so fat?" His answer to me was that she swallowed a watermelon seed and that it was growing in her stomach. I didn't eat watermelon again until 5th grade when the nurses came in and taught us about babies.
When I was a small boy, I had a friend over, and we were playing an we stumbled upon my mothers wedding ring, I decided to put it on, after I did, my friend exclaimed, "HaHa! Now your pregnant!" fortunately, my parents had told me about sex when I was five, so I knew otherwise, but I still thought that you you just rubbed your "things" together, without any form of penetration, I believed this for a couple of years.

To explain sex to me, my parents just showed my a video. It showed the sperm travelling to the egg and such, but it never said how the sperm GOT there. It never explained sex. This led me to believe that after a woman started her period, she would just constantly get pregnant unless she kept taking the pill. Her body would just keep making babies one after another.
After watching the video, this belief firmly planted in my mind, I told my mom, "When I get older I'm definitely going to be on the pill. Otherwise I'll be getting pregnant all the time." Imagine what my poor mom must have thought!
When I was 8, I asked my mom how did a baby get inside her stomach, she told me daddy gave her some sunflower seeds and it grew into a baby, ever since then, until I was 12, I was so afraid of sunflower seeds, I didn't want a baby in my stomach!
