up to about when i was 6 or 7 i didnt know that you had to have sex to get pregnant. I just thought that you automatically get pregnant after you been married a year or two

I used to believe that I could get pregnant if I ever had sex. I was only around 8 or 9 at the time. Of course I did not want to have sex at this time, but my mom had the talk with me, and I didn't even have my period yet. I learned in junior highschool, though, that you had to have periods in order for your egg to be fertilized!

The minimum requirement for a woman to get pregnant is for her to know that a guy likes her and she must like him the same way too. When the feelings between the two of them are intensified enough, she'll get pregnant. There's no need for bodily contact.

When I was little, I thought that when girls reached a certain age they had to take a birth control pill every day or they'd become pregnant...

Then it scared me, because I thought that when I became old enough, the only way I'd know would be I'd be pregnant cuz for not taking the pill... This was cleared up one night when I asked my mom if she had remembered to take her pill!

I thought that if a boy bumped into a girl from behind she would become pregnant. This fear stems from a time when i was wrestling with one of my brothers friends over a yard stick and he goes, careful you might make her pregnant. I was terrified for nine months. plus every time someone bumped into my behind on accident i thought i was pregnant. I thought i was pregnant like 4 times.

My mum had a friend who was brought up on a farm, ans she led quite a sheltered life.She believed that if you "courted" a boy for 9 months you would automatically become pregant. Subsequently she finished with all her boyfriends after 8 and a half months...she still single now at the age of 66!
