When I was little i used to believe that to get pregnat the boy had to put his finger in your belly button. so everytime a boy came around me I would cover my belly and say,"Dont get your nasty fingers around my belly button!"..... I always wondered why they looked at me so funny.
When i was in preschool and didn't know about the birds and the bees yet, i thought a woman had a baby simply by being in love. I got my first crush on a little boy, and daydreamed about us discovering our love for each other when i'd become pregnant.
I had NO idea that sex and getting pregnancy were linked until I was 12. I thought that a woman would just spontaneously become pregnant one day, not to mention that I had been told the baby came out of her belly button. I also was completely unaware of penetration in sex, that sex was solely recreational and involved two people getting naked and kissing.
Boy, was that ever a shocking day of health class.
When I was a kid, I used to think I could get preggo by eating a push-up pop.
I used to believe that if you went swimming after you got your first period, then you could get pregnant.
I dont know where i heard this from .. but up till i was 15 years old, i thought that when you are giving a guy head and you swallow, you can still get pregnant.
When I was little I came up to my mom and asked her, "Where do babies come from?" and she said that you just have to want one really bad and you'll get a baby. So I believed that you just really really want to have one and it will just pop up somewhere.
When I was a wee little girl, I thought a woman got pregnant by having a man stick a finger in her belly button. I then figured that women who have 'outie' belly buttons aren't able to have babies.
One day my parents were sitting close together, as the family was chatting with friends. And a man made a comment to them that totally confused me, being a little kid as I was at the time. He asked my parents if they were trying to keep up with "Mary". "Mary" had just had another baby. Now, I was learning in grade school about how the egg is fertilized by the sperm, etc. But they hadn't told us about how the sperm GET to the egg. So when I heard this comment, I thought that the sperm must jump through the skin when you get up against a boy. And THAT'S how the sperm gets to the egg.
After that, I was afraid to get near men and boys because I didn't want their sperm to jump through our skin and get me.
When I was four, I asked my mom, "How does a baby get in the mommy's tummy?"
My mom looked up, sighed, and said, "You wish for one."
For a few years, I was really worried that if I accidentally wished for a baby, I'd end up a pregnant child.
When I was little I heard on the news they were talking about banning the morning after pill. I ask my dad "Why would they want to ban a pill curing a hangover? People need that so they can live through the day without vommiting!" I guess the really morning after pill helps the vommiting as well.
When I was little, I was with my cousins and my aunt. My aunt decided she'd tell us a little about how babies are made. She said that "they take a part of the man and put it in the woman." I had always known where babies come out, so I thought the mommy and daddy went to the doctor and the doctor cut open the daddy's stomach, took a piece out, cut open the mommy's, put it in there, then the baby would grow in the stomach. :)
This one is quite obvious since 100% of all kids who are too young to know about sex would believe, that babies would be conceived anally, and periods were just random bleeding, like piles. Gross but hilarious.
when i was 7 years old i thought that to have babies you just have to pray to god to have a baby and it will pop in your stomache but then when I was 10 my mom was haveing a discustion about my body and then i learned how to have a baby i was freaked out hahah good times.
For the longest time I thought that if you got kissed under a mistletoe then would become pregnant. I stayed away from mistletoe for a long time!
When I was about 3-4,I tought that if you wished for a baby hard enough it would simply appear(My parents fault, this big trauma is)And you would get pregnant.Playing with dolls and that kind of stuff in that period,I tought I wanted a baby.I was really terrified that I would get pregnant.I also had a friend who was adopted and I concluded it was because maybe her parents didn't wish hard enough.
I used to belive that a man could get pregnant.
being from a conservative country India, I was thinking if a boy kisses a girl's breasts she will get pregnant! and that was how people had babies
My cousin told me that men get women pregnant by peeing in their belly button. Then and there, I vowed to remain childless if that is what I had to put up with!
When I was about 7, someone at school told me that to get a girl pregnant you had to pee in her mouth!
Needless to say, I thought this was pretty gross and it was several years before I knew any better!
