Brides become pregnant at the wedding

I used to believe that whenever you got married, you were automatically pregnant. Oh the imaginations of toddlers :)

That's why I said to my friend one day when we were about 6 "The only reason they have a man and woman kiss at their wedding is to get a baby started." She nodded. Apparently she had the same belief. I was corrected when I joined an internet forum a year later...

Until fifth grade I thought that babies were made when people kissed at weddings. I thought that babies were in the saliva, but could only be made at weddings.

When I was little I thought babies came out of your belly button. Also, to get pregnent you had to be getting married and when they say "you may now kiss the bride" the sperm would swim from the man's mouth into the woman's.

When I was little, I told my mom that women became pregnant during their wedding while they exchanged rings.Once the ring was on the finger, the woman instantly became pregnant. I wish that was really what happens...
