When I was little I believe that babies came out through your intestines since the baby was in the mommie's "tummy" and that's why it hurt so much!
for many years i didn't know that women had vaginas and so i thought all babies were born out of women's asses. i remember seeing pregnant women as a child and feeling sorry for the stress that they must have endured every time they took a crap because they never knew if they would have to fish their child out of the toilet bowl.
When my brother was born and I was 2, my parents gave me a puppet, telling me it was from my brother, so I would like him and wouldn't get jealous. I thought the puppet came out of my mom's belly, along with my brother!
When I was younger my mom told me that you can only have babies after you are married, so I always imagined her when she was getting married to my dad in this big church, after the guy said, "you may kiss the bride" They would kiss and then my mom would walk over near the wall where they had this big wooden table, and while she was still in her wedding dress, she would lay down and then the priest guy would come over and cut her stomach open and just take out a baby ( and the baby already had clothes on ) and then my mom told me that they staple her stomach back up so then I imagined the priest with this lil mini stapler stapling her stomach back up.....I can't believe I thought that!
i used to believe that people were born when you popped a balloon - please dont ask where that came from but it wasnt until i was in year 6 (when we got taught about it) that i actually stopped believing that
xx
My friend convinced me when I was about six that the way we got hair on our heads was that as we came out our mothers vagina that her pubic hair got stuck to our heads... Too bad if you mum had a brazillian!!
When I was little, like 5 or so, I thought that when a woman was having a baby, every time she went to the bathroom she pushed a little and the baby came out a little, and it took a while like days for it to be born all the way. I don't know what I thought, maybe that she would walk around with a baby hanging out of her or something, but hey, I was 5!!
when i was little i thought that babies came from your belly button until one day when a girl in my class asked me if i knew where babies came from..when i said yea shes like "the...you know..." then i figured it out for sure and asked my mom what happens if you have to pee. stunned that i knew thats how you give birth she just said on the table...i was so confused
I really used to believe that a C-section was another name for natural birth. My mom had a C-section for me and another for my brother and she used to show us the small scar and tell "you came out of here, the doc cut my belly and I had you first and then your brother".
I believed this until I was 14, when (at school) they showed a video of a natural birth. I was totally scared and couldn't imagine how can a baby the size of a watermellon could come out of that small hole. I called my mom begging her to go home and throwed up for days.
Still scared of natural births!
I used to believe that babies came out of my belly button and i was always really facinated by how such a big thing as a baby can come out from a little button hole
I used to think that babies actually grew in your stomach and i always wondered why they didn't get digested and pooed out. I believed this until i was about 8 years old.
when I was really little, my mom told me that babies came from eggs. I had an image in my mind of a giant chicken egg, thus why a pregnant lady's stomach was so round. I asked her if my shell was hard or soft, did the yolk spill when the doctor cracked it.
As a child, I'd always known that a baby grows inside a mom's "belly."
When I turned four, my parents concieved a third child.
I always thought that the baby grew inside the stomach, and just ate whatever mom did.
Well, eventually food leaves the body, and so should the baby... but both were to come out the same hole... the butt.
Everytime my mom would poop, I'd have to watch her and make sure she didn't have my brother then and there.
During the real birth of my brother, my other brother and I were sent to our grandma's house, where our new brother had "sent" us toys to play with while we waited for dad to take us back home.
I remember that day so clearly, and the one thought that prevailed in my head; "I hope she goes to the bathroom right away... she'll probably need a diaper... I know I would." ((and that was what adult diapers were for.))
Up until about 9, I believed babies were birthed from the anus. My mom once described it as 'taking the biggest crap of her life' and it always sort of stuck with me, heh.
I used to think that everyone was born by C-section, because I was and I'd heard the story so many times. I remember thinking that I never wanted to have kids because I didn't want anyone to cut a big hole in my belly.
I thought that babies were born through the anus. The only thing I thought about while having a painful poop was how much it was going to hurt to get a baby out of there!
I was convinced when i was about 6 that all women were born with babys in them, and that over time these tiny things would slowly grow until one day when you were all grown up and tall it would be ready.
I can remeber shopping in town one christmas with my mother, she was expecting a baby, and i turned to her and said 'I hope my baby comes out at the same time yours does'.. she was in histerics laughing, she still reminds me of it. Heatherjane x
When I was little and I asked my mom to explain where babys came from she compared the pain of birth to pooping a watermelon. For a long time I thought that babies were born through the anus. I got realy confused when I saw an episode of a sitcom when a woman was lying on her back to give birth, I thought it would smother the baby!
I used to believe that when it was time for a woman to give birth , she would swallow a rope , the baby would take hold, and the mother would then pull the baby out of her mouth .
My Mum told me that baby's came out "between your legs". I had this vision of half the baby coming out of the right leg and the other half out of the left leg. I couldn't quite figure out how that happened. Then a friend's Mum told me baby's came out of your bum and I was so annoyed at my Mum for lying to me!!
