I used to believe that girls had their period all the time non-stop and that they bled out of their hands.
I used to believe that every woman had a period one time only, when she was exactly 20, and it was peeing out blood.
When I was younger I thought you had your period one month and didn't have another until the next year the same month.I also believed that when you were on your period you wore a diaper.
i used to think that tampons were small tube type things and when you put them in all the blood would drip in there and when you took it out you poured the blood out and put it back in. i know know that it is incorrect!
I had no sisters and my mom didn't really feel the need to talk to me about my period at the age of 9. So when I did get it (I was 9 at the time) I though I was dying, I starting crying and yelling for my mom as I sat on the toilet....hahaha
i thought that when you started your period u hav 1 4 1 day a week 4eva! now of course i know what really happens
I thought I was going to die when I saw blood on my panty. I was scared, kept this to myself and cried silently. Then eventually I told my mom and said its normal for females to have menstruation.
when i was little i always thought that when you had your period you were no longer a virgin......
One time I was having a sleepover.I invited ALL my
friends! At night, when everyone was in bed, i went
to the toilet. What i didn't know was that my friend
Becky, went to the toilet before me! When i saw
blood, EVERYWHERE, i screamed! I woke the
WHOLE house! I thought it was me who was bleeding, not Becky! When i'd realised, you can
definitely say i was embarassed! My mum even said that i had ruined her beauty sleep! Next time i
have a sleepover, i'm not going to panic, when i see
blood!
When I was a kid, although I was aware of the existence of menstrual pads, I thought that the term "sanitary napkins" referred to those little packaged moist towelettes.
im 9.my older cousin is 11.we were in the car and my mom asked for a kleenex from her purse,my cousin grabed a tampax andgave it to her.you'd think he'd know**********!!!
Even at a young age, I understood that some older adults had to use diapers. So when I saw advertisements on TV for maxi pads, I decided they must be another kind of adult diaper--especially since the ads say they help keep "you fresh and dry"!
When I was younger I used to think that a period was when you poop blood cells out of your body and I always referred to it as "blood cells." When I was about 6 or 7 I learned it was called a period.
At 10, we had the "period and puberty" talk from a health visitor at school. She was quite an old person and told us lots of things wrong. Like she said sanitary towels were the only option and there was nothing else we could use so we couldnt do any sport or go swimming during our period. And that we were never allowed to tell the lads in our class anything that she told us. I ended up with a lot of false information after that,
i used to believe your period was a shot grown-ups got and it makes you pee blood.i learned the truth when i was about 10,in fourth grade heath.
my brother believes that pads are miniature diapers.he is 11.
I used to believe that the wrapper things you peel off sanitary napkins (you know, to reveal the sticky part) were called appetites, and they were important because they told you how much you ate. Once, me and my sister found some "appetites" of our own. But I ended up losing mine, and that made me cry for a long time. I explained to my parents that I was crying because "I lost my appetite!"
my mom used to think that you had to have sex to use tampons.
I used to think that a period was when a woman peed blood.
when I was 10. my nurse told the girls about puberty, periods, etc.
I was horrified when I found out about periods and how blood came out of your
"private". After that when ever I had to use the toilet, i would be scared to!
(and of course, i did anyway!)
when imagine how surprised i was when i woke up with blood on my sheets!
