when i was young the woman in the family did not discuss things like a period or sex. when i started my period i first thought i was bleeding from somewhere inside. which stood to reason because of the terrible tummy cramps i had. still i somehow knew it was something i wasnt supposed to talk about. i was in pain and like that for a day before i got back to my mother who said. thats your period already!!! (i was seven) then she sat a box of pads on the counter for me and left me to figure it out
when OB Tampons first came out and they advertised that there was no aplicator i was so confused because for some reason i thought the aplicator was the string. so i asked my mom how they were supposed to get the tampon out after they put it in.
My little sister is ony 3 and she like to follow everyone in the bathroom...especially me and my mom! One time my period was on and she asked what it was and i told her it was red dye number 4 and no everytime i go to the bathroom she always asks if i have red dye number 4 and if i need a diper(in her world thats a pad)XD
I don't think I knew about periods at this time but I used to think that ladies had to wear pads every day and change them every time they went to the washroom.
i use to believe that a period was when ur eye hurt
When I was about four, I noticed that there were these things that were wrapped up like sweets, but shaped like pills (well, to four year old me, anyway) but they were huge for pills, and I didn't know how you could swallow them. Somehow I knew they were Mum's, not Dad's. I think I assumed they were either pills that only grown-up women got to take (taking pills seemed like a much more interesting activity when I was four, probably because you're not allowed to take many) or that they were sweets taht were for grown-up women only. I think I knew what Lillets were by the time I was 9 or 10, but I don't think I connected tampons with these weird pill things for years later. I didn't still think that that's what they were, it's just that I didn't remember my old belief and connect it with the tampons for a while.
I knew that girls got periods because I am a girl (duh). I always saw the pad/tampon machines in teh women's bathroom. But onetime, the women's bathroom was really full, so my dad took me into the men's bathroom (I was 8). I saw the pad/tampon machines and I got scared and confused and ran out. I asked my mom about it and she told me men didn' tget periods.
i use to think that everyone had a period. but now i know that only girls have them.
when i was 9, i had a fren who jus got a period. before this, we had no idea this was part and parcel of womanhood. she panicked in school and came to me crying that her privates were injured and was bleeding. i helped her put tissues and tried to stop the bleeding. it was after a few years later did i stop feeling worried for her as she refused to tell me what happened after that day....
I used to think that pads were little diapers for my baby dolls.. haha
wen i woz lil i used 2 believe dat if u wor a tampon u wud get pregnent so i used 2 hide em frm me mum!
when i was 10 i started my period on the 3rd of December... then i got it again on the 30 of december so i called my mom crying b/c i thought i was gonna die b/c i had my period twice in one month... haha cracks me up!
I used to belive ( along time ago) that the pads my mom used were diapers for mummies.
As a little girl, I thought that a maxi pad were diapers for grown women.
I used to belive someone had 2 help u put a tampon on- GGGRRRRROOOOS
i had mine- guess not
I used to think that the paper that was used to wrap tampons and pads was very pretty and nicely decorated so I asked my mom where exactly she got this "Pretty Paper."
WHEN I WAS LITTLE I USED TO BELIEVE THAT PADS WERE USED TO KEEP UR ARMPITS DRY BY STICKING THEM TO THE INSIDES OF UR SHIRTS. AHHAHA HA HA HA.
When I was younger I learned about tampons. Well, I can't really say I learned much about them... Actually, I was quite disgusted with anyone who used them. You see, I knew about sex and everything, and I knew the place where a man's 'tool' is put, was the same as a tampon. I also believed that a tampon was just a plastic tube, ((Due to the plastic tube it's in.)) And since, you never see the rest of the tampon after use, I had nothing to argue against me.
So, due to my knowledge, and lack of knowledge, I believed that a tampon was a plastic tube that was insterted into a femaale and filled with blood during her perion. I also believed, due to what I believed a tampon was, that it doubled as a pleasure device. ((Like a dildo))
Both me and my friend believed this.
Boy did I feel stupid when I found out how they really worked...
On a related note. I know someone at my school who put a tampon in for the irst time without reading the instructions or having someone tell them about it, and so she didn't take the plastic part out. ^^;
Oh well. Live and learn, no?
Someone I know was looking at her mom's tampon when she was young, and she accidently broke it. She was scared because she thought that you used the multiple times, and she thought her mom would be mad at her.
my friends little brother used to think you used a tompon to get the "crusties" offof your boobs, where he came up with vrusties i have no clue. my brother thought you stuck tomapns up your butt, and my friend ( a guy) thought that u pulled the string and it opened like a parachute, the it went to a pile some where in your body and stay there forever
