When I was about 11 I believed I had breast cancer because I developed 2 hard lumps in my nipples. I had heard a commercial about checking breasts for lumps. For a year I was scared I had cancer and was totally relieved when I finally asked the doctor and he told me it was normal and I was just developing.

I remember being really little and walking in on mum after she had come out of the bathroom. I remember seeing her pubic hair and thinking how gross it was and that it was like how dads had hair on their chest. yuk!

I used to believe that I could "wish" my breasts were bigger, but now I know I was just a boob for thinking that!!

When i was young, after I first learned about breastfeeding babies, I thought that breasts were just sacks filled entirely with milk. Thus, if a girl got hit/cut on her boob, it would pop and leak milk...

When I was a child used to believe that when a woman was breast feeding one breast was for liquids and the other was for solids. So a baby would eat and then they would take a drink from the other breast.

Until I was about 18 or so, I used to think that if I masturbated too much (I'm female, by the way) that my clitoris would get bigger and bigger the more I did it.

I have a friend who's mother believed, until she was almost 50, that your urine and menstrual flow all came out of the same hole. She thought there was only one hole *down there*.

I used to believe that inside my penis there was a snake, and each time i got a "hard on" the snake was trying to get out.

Until I was 15 I believed that men had a hole like a woman underneath their penis and that's how men had sex together.

I didn't used to know that there was a difference between the penis and the balls. I thought it was all balls.

We use to think the male organ (penis) was called a PUDDLE....
My twin sister and I both called it that...

Perhaps with the idea of delaying the inevitable, my highschool-age uncle told us six-year-old boys that girls have teeth in their vagina. Took awhile before I dared to find out the truth.

Until I was about nine, I thought that breasts were these white, conically shaped, spirally looking things. It wasn't until retrospection years later that I realized that was what the bra my mom wore looked like. (a la 1950's)

When i was very little (around 5) I use to think that the pee comes out of a girls clitorus. Intill i asked my mom and she corrected me. Glad i still dont believe that!

As a little boy, I knew that girls and boys had different parts between their legs, but I thought that a girl's parts were the same as a boy's parts, just pushed inside (inverted). Made sense to me.

How did they get that way? Well, at first, boys' and girls' parts were the same, then a dinosaur kicked a girl in the crotch....

I don't know how I came to belive this theory. All babies are born as girls. You become a "boy" if you sneeze,or cough too hard.It pops out,and you're done being a girl.I used to dread having a cold. When I would sneeze,I would rush to the bathroom, just to make sure I hadn't "popped".

My dad was uncircumcized...and I AM circumcized...Imagine my shock when he had to teach me to pee standing up. I thought every boy had a different penis!

Oh this is SO embarrassing...When I was 17 I was in study hall talking about how when my female hamster goes pee the fur in that area was wet for a while and I thought it was gross. My two female friends said "well excuse her! They don't make toilet paper for hamsters!" I said "No, she didn't poop...she peed" I had NO IDEA that girls had to wipe after peeing AND pooping!!! It just never crossed my mind! I also thought until I was 15 that when you had sex with a girl there was only one hole...the hole you have sex with and they pee out of were the same thing. I knew NOTHING about girls.
