I believed that when someone "broke the law", that meant it was no longer a law. Congress would have to make the law over again. What a lot of work!

I used to think "shoplifters" were very strong people who literally got underneath stores and lifted the entire buildings over their heads like weightlifters. Once when I was in a drugstore with my mom, I saw a muscular man with tatoos and a buzz cut. I pointed him out to my mom and said "Look, that guy must be one of those shoplifters!" My mother shushed me.

When I was around 5 years old, my mom told me it was against the law for a girl and boy who weren't married to sleep in the same bed. About a year later, I was at my grandma's house, and my cousin (a boy) was spending the night too. We were only 6 and 7, and we were really close, and talked a lot, so my grandma decided to put us in the same bedroom. I threw a fit and said that i would go to jail for the rest of my life.

When I was younger I was always afraid my house was going to be broken into. I didn't want them to kill anyone, so when my dad opened the car door so I could get out (the child lock was on) I would dash out of the car and ring the doorbell madly, so all the burglars would know to get out of the house, and wouldn't become desperate enough to kill someone! To this very day I ring doorbells like that.

When i was little my friend told me that there were always burgulars in your house every night. She said that if you were asleep the burgulars would leave you alone, but if you were awake they would kill you. So if I ever woke up in the middle of the night I would never open my eyes so the burgulars thought I was asleep

When my little sister was about four and was obsessed with all things girly, she used to think it was against the law for a girl not to wear a dress. I was a tomboy and she threatened to call the cops whenever I wore jeans.

When I was little, I used to believe that when someone was "drinking and driving", that meant they could be drinking anything. Needless to say, I got very nervous when my mom opened a cola while driving.
