When i was younger, i had a constant fear that there was this big scary man in the bottom of the earth that like to drink the urine that went down the toilet, and if you didn't urinate enough he would fly up the pipes when you flushed the toilet and grab you and make you live underground. So therefore I never flushed the toilet.
I had a bit of an odd childhood, didn't I?
I used to always look into the toilet before using it because I thought hat if I didn't look, a spider(a big, furry one) would come crawling out from the toilet and would bite me while I was on it. I don't know how I thought it lived in the water. lol
In grade 2 or so my teacher told us about in some other country there were snakes that would go up the suer pipes and end up in peoples toilets, i was worried it happened here in Canada too, I didnt want a big poisonous snake to bite my butt and kill me! for weeks i wouldnt sit directly on the toilet, id just crouch over it.
When I was little, I was convinced Darth Vader lived in my Nan's toilet. Someone had to stand outside the door while I went in case he come out and 'Got me'.
Daft eh?
i was afraid to sit on the toilet because i thought a werewolf lived under there and would claw your butt if you sat down
I remember my mom used to flush spiders or other bugs that she killed down the toilet. I always avoided using the toilet she put the bug down for a while because I thought that the dead bug mysteriously floated back up and would bite your butt!
When I was little I used to believe that lobsters lived in the toilet, and that one day I would have to go to the bathroom and there would be a lobster ready to pinch my butt.
When I was little I didn't like the toilets at parks and campgrounds that didn't have plumbing and didn't flush. I thought that there were dead birds inside the toilet and that they were nasty. I still hate those toliets. I call them dead bird toilets.
when I was 8 I use to think that everytime I flushed the toilet a monster would come out and get me and now that i'm nine I still think it!
I was a wierd kid so I had a lot of wierd notions in my head. I am happy to say I still have a good imagination.
Because of all of those "Bloody Mary will get you if you say her name three times into the mirror in the bathroom" stories, I somehow translated that into the flush for the toilet being the cue for the ghosts to come out and attack you. I often ran out of the bathroom and down the hall to where everyone else was saying "Ha! not this time." Everyone stared at me like I was nuts...I think they may have been right.
When I was younger, I would never put my feet on the ground when I was on the toilet because I was afraid that ants would come and put potions on my feet to kill me. I was a disturbed child.
I used to believe that whenever i would use the toilet and flush it that i would get sucked down into the pipes. So i would run out f the bathroom right when iflushed and when my little brother started using the bathroom, i would always check to make sure that he didn't get flushed down, too.
I used to believe when I sat on the toilet if I sat for too long that a spider would come up and pull me in. So as you can guess I was terrified of going to the bathroom and had to hover and keep turning round to check whether it was coming.
i used to be afriad of sitting on the toilet while flushing it because i thought that snakes would come up and bite me in the ass.
My biggest fear of the toilet when I was younger was that if I ate something good like meat, it would exit my body, enter the toilet, and a crocodile would smell it and snap my bottom right off from underneath me.
I use to believe there was a monster in the toilet that could come out when I flushed so after doing my business I always washed my hands first then flushed and made a run for it.
When little, after seeing the movie of IT the clown, I got this horrible fear to the toilet. I imagined that when sat down on the toilet, IT would stretch out his hand and pull me through the plumbing. Once, my sister had to make me company because I was so afraid of it, that I wanted not to go unless she came with me.
I used to think that if I didn't leave the bathroom after the toilet was done flushing, the toilet water would flood and there was a magic wall that prevented the water from going out of the room. Needless to say, I figured out that it wasn't true, but I was still in the habit of running away from the room before the flushing was stopped. Now I'm out of the habit.
...that the Wicked Witch of the West (saw The Wizard of Oz too young, apparently) would come swirling out of the toilet to grab me when I flushed. I still have scars on my knees from falling all over myself, madly exiting whatever building I was in at the time, school included =P
I used to think that when I flushed the toilet, as the water was swirling around, a puppet like boy/creature in a sailors suit was swirling up to GET me! and i had to run to a room with other people before it stopped flushing! :)
