After watching an episode of Goosebumps or something of the sort when I was younger, I was always afraid that a big bloody gross monster would come out of the drains or toilets and eat me.

When I was little, I thought that there was a monster either in my toilet or near it that got angry when I flushed. I would stand as close to the door as possible and flush with my toes so I could run before the monster got me.

Why are so many people are afraid of toilets?

Up until i was around 6 i would watch inside the toilet while sitting on it because my sisters would tell me to hurry up and get out of the bathroom ( and i didnt listen to them) so they would tell me that when i set on the toilet a troll was going to come through it and pull me under..

I used to think that when you flushed the toilet big numbers would come out, followed by your worst fears. To this day I have to unlock the stall before I flush.

i used to beleive that if u didnt get out the bathroom bofore the toilet flushed a lion in a red car would come and eat me

i used to believe that a toliet monster lived inside the pipes and that if you didnt give him enough food [pee and poo] he woud come up and eat you so i used to flush the toliet and run out of the bathroom so that he coodnt catch me in time to eat me!

When I was younger and watched Look Who's Talking 2 and saw that the toliet came alive I was scared for years after that. I honestly believed if I someone made the toliet mad it would bite my tushy off! My Grandfather also told me if I didn't go potty in time a snake would come up and bite my butt so I always looked between my legs to make sure nothing came up to get me. Embarassing.

When I was little I asked my mom where all the poop and pee went and she said that it went to the ocean. So during that year we were at the beach snd we were talking about there were snakes int he water so i then was afraid to go to the bathroom because I thought that a snake would come up front he toilet and bit me then that change when we moved and got a septic system.

When I was about 6 I heard my dad tell my mom the house would explode if all three toilets were flushed at the same time. He was joking of course, but from then on I was always afraid to flush the toilet.

When I was in third grade, being the little teacher's helper that I was, I told everyone that if they didn't get good grades or were bad in school, whenever they went to the school restroom a peepee monster would come out and drown them in their own urine. The teacher still wasn't happy.

When I was little I was in a video rentals store and saw the case for a movie with an evil little monster coming out of a toilet. Now, here's the weird part-- I thought that when I was undressed before I was in the shower, the toilet monster would smell my privates and come out of the toilet. Everyone thought I had problems ,but I was only a little kid at the time--you should see some of the other beliefs on this site.

I used to believe that there was a monster that lived down the toilet and that everytime u did a number 2 he was fed n a number 1 gave him a drink. i used to think that as long as he had enough to eat and drink he would not come up the drainpipe and eat me.

I used to believe that Sleestacks came out of the (attached) laundry room when I flushed the toilet...at night. I never was concerned about them coming out during daylight though. I was always getting reprimanded for not flushing the toilet. Although I'm over 30 now and no longer worry about Sleestacks...I still can't flush the toilet in the night.

As a young child , well not that young actually , I used to have this pervert superstition...Whenever I was in love with some boy , I was scared to go to the toilet because...I thought the guy would somehow be able to peep.Ough , what an icky thought that he would find out I went to the bathroom just like everyone else...
