When I was 6 I thought that Alligators were in the sewers and the would come up and eat me while I was on the toilet or in the bath. It was very scary.
When I was a about 6 or 7 a 'friend'of mine told me that he had a large worm coming out of his 'hole' when he went to the toilet one day. That made me think that the same would happen to me and I didn't go toilet for solids for nearly a month!
I used to believe there was monsters in the toilet and when you flushed the toilet they would jump out and eat you. Or if you took too long in the bathroom they would come up and bite you in the ****. So I would flush the toilet and run.
After you flush a toilet the reservoir fills up again, making a loud "hooooowwwwwaaaaaahhhhhhhrrrrr" noise. I used to think when it was making that noise I should never sit down on it because then te water would rise up to my butt and make it wet while I was sitting. I still have troubles ONCE IN A WHILE...
i used to believe that toilets came to life at night
When I was really little I was always worried about going to the bathroom for 3 reasons;
1. the booger-monster would come out of the toilet and steal my butt.
2. If i flushed the toilet aliens would take over the world and steal my brother.
3. A baby would come out of my butt.
I was a twisted child. Amazingly, I still am.
I used to belive that there was a momster in the toilet and when i flushed he would wake up and chase me. so I would flush and RUN.
When i was 3, i thought that the toilet was a whirlpool and if i flushed while i was on it, i'd godown and get eaten by the 'poo monster'!
i used to beleive that there was a squid or something in the tiolet and it would pull me down with it.
When I was little my father told me that if you forget to flush the toilet, your poop will become alive.
I always believed that the toilet flush was a sign for the creatures to come out and get me, so when i flushed the toilet i had to run like mad to my bedroom and hide until all sound had vanished from the flush then i could go to sleep.
I used to believe that if I dropped something down the floor vent while someone was going to the bathroom, they would turn into a monster and eat me...
I used to believe that i shouldn't hear the flushing sound of the toilet. Therefore for a while in my childhood, i kept running away immediately after i flushed the toilet. How about my hands... i always don't rememebr....
It all started when I was little, but I have an irrational fear of the lid being off the tank of the toilet. I won't go near it if the lid is off. I still don't know why exactly....
i thought that whenever you pulled the toilet flush in our bathroom ghosts would come out of the toilet. i used to wash my hands before pulling the flush, just so i could run out of the bathroom before they caught me. once i got so scared i jumped down the entire flight of stairs to escape them - and executed a perfect landing on my feet at the bottom, with no injuries. not bad for a five year old!
I remember when I was little- every time I flushed the toilet I would run like mad into my room before a hand came from it and grabed me. Then, after I got over the and thing, I used to think the girl from the Exorcist would appear in the toilet bowl- So I was always afraid to keep the lid up!
When we were little my sister used to be scared to sit on the toilet for very long because she was afraid that a whale would come up from it and bite her on the hinnie.
Just thought that I would add a story that a high school teacher once told me. When MS. C was much younger she shared a bed with her sister, well she was very afraid of the dark and so when she would have to go to the bathroom at night she would run down the hall to the bathroom she thought that as long as the toilet was still flushing (not just refilling but before it all swished and went down) and she could make it into her bed that she would be safe. So to get this to work she would was her hands then put her toe on the flusher, lean way forward and push the flusher down with her toe then run to bed and jump over her sister who slept on the outside of the bed and be in it before the flush was done. Obviously this worked as she was able to become an adult and teach school.
when i was having orientation for preschool we took a trip to the bathroom and my teacher said "what out sometimes theres a flood" and i thought a flood was a monster and one time i had to go to the bathroom but i was too scared to go so i peed in my pants
when i was little i believed that when you flushed a toilet you had to run out of the bathroom fast because if you didn't the evil toilet goasts would get you
