I thought that the jetstream from planes was white paint. Which was constantly poured out from the plane.
I used to believe that airplanes made the stops according to wherever separate people wanted to go. It would make multiple stops for each person. I always wondered why my family got to go to their stop first!
Me and my sister used to think that Disneyland was in the clouds because we had to take a plane to get there...
I thought that "jet black" referred to the kind of jet you fly in, which I found odd as I had never seen a black jet plane.
I used to belive that an airplane was my mothers car. I don't no why.
My brother (who, I might add, convinced me
of many strange things) told me that when a
plane flew over our house, if you looked up
and saw lights flashing, it meant the plane
was opening its hatch to drop a bomb on you. For the longest time my mom couldn't understand why I would cry and run into the house if a plane came near.
I believed that Jesus was flying across the sky, it was actually sunlight reflecting off planes.
i used to believe that cotton came from the clouds up above....that airplanes just used to go up there and scoop it up and bring it back down...
Everytime my friend saw a plane in the sky, my friend had to duck for cover just in case a poo fell out from a plane

I used to believe that aeroplanes could reverse when they are flying.
I used to believe clouds were made out of cotton candy and even going through them in a plane now I think the wings are tearing apart the cotton candy.
I used to believe If I jumped off the porch with enough grocery bags on my arms they would act as a parachute and slow my fall. I spent hours on multiple occasions jumping off the front porch. Luckily it wasn't high enough to hurt myself.
Is aeroplane another word for air plane? Ok, anyway, when I was little, I used to think that the little trails of smoke/steam that the airplanes left were called airplane tracks, and was confused when they faded away.
I used to love going on planes as a kid so I asked why we don't ride planes more often and my mom told me that it's very expensive. I was her newspaper coupon-clipper so with a solid grasp of money I asked how much I remember she said "$2000". I remember being astounded... to an 8 year old anything bigger than $100 was utterly astronomical.
I'm ashamed to admit that well into my mid-twenties I was under the belief that typical plane tickets costed thousands and thousands of dollars.

When I was a child I used to believe that the tracks jets made in the sky were from the tail fin of the plane scratching the top of the sky. Because of this I also thought those planes that did that were the "sky scrapers" people were talking about.
I thought that when you used the toilet on an aeroplane the waste came straight out of a special exit underneath and fell to the ground or into the ocean. I worried about it landing on someone.
When i was like 4 or 5 i used to believe that when you had to go on air plane that the airplane would fly to your house and pick you up.
when I was little, I was scared of taking the plane because I thought clods were solid !!
