I used to belive that all cars could talk to each other when thay were in a car park but only if thay came from the same country, so if you park a german car next to anothr german car thay would be happy till you drove away.
..that every boy/man had to have a traffic accident. And that it happened exactly one time in life. We lived with my mother's family and both her brothers had had theirs. So, every night I would pray that tommorow I would get done and over with *my accident*, and that it wouldnt be too scary!
When I was a kid I thought that if you got run over by a transport truck it wouldn't hurt because the wheels were just filled with air. I guess I had no concept of weight back then.
I use to believe that when you reached the end of the road in front of you when you were driving, that that was the end of the world. Somehow we never drove that far.
I used to believe that the exhaust fumes coming from a car were actually what pushed it forward like a rocket
When I was little my mom told me to look "up and down" before crossing the street. So, I would look up at the sky and down at the ground and THEN look left and right fo any cars! LOL!
For a couple years as a little kid, I believed that in certain cars you would peddle like a bicycle to move it because my aunt told me that the car had peddles! I always wondered how she got up the steep hills so easily.
I used to believe that the "cruise control" button in cars meant that the car could drive/maneauver itself.
I used to believe that cars were propelled by their exhaust like some kind of rocket.
When riding in a car, I was always TERRIFIED that when we were turning, we were going to tip over. Thus, every time we turned, I would subtly lean the opposite direction, just to make sure my weight kept the car upright.
after watching a car driving over about 13 red double decker buses, I thought that you had to do that to pass your driving test....
When I was little I always wanted a mustang convertible. My mother told me they were death traps. So I had this image of accidentally driving off of a mountain side (in the middle of Kansas) and the car would crunch up and kill me when it fell off the mountain. But another inexpensive normal car would be just fine.
I used to believe that all the cars that were driving around me were driven by no one and were just there to keep my mom's car company.
When I was little, riding in the car with my mom and staring out the window, I used to believe that the trees were running next to us. I even tried to argue it.
I used to believe that cars with red lights had to drive on the right side of the road and that cars with white lights had to drive on the left side of the road. It didn't occur to me that all cars have red lights in back and white lights in front.
I used to belief that all the cars were controlled by conveyer belts. And that's how they all would stop and go at the same time.
I used to belive that if you pushed the lighter button in a car it would tranforme it into a batmobile
Kid me thought that only old people were allowed to own and drive Oldsmobile cars. After all, it's right in the name, isn't it?
When I was little I thought drinking and driving meant you couldn't drink anything while driving. So when I was little and I saw my mom drinking Pepsi while she was driving the car, I'd get very worried that she'd get arrested or we'd all get killed.
On motorways the person at the front of the traffic had set out
