In the 4th grade, I got into a minor car accident after running across the street without checking for cars. Why? I had heard of looking left and right for traffic, but I thought that if I stuck my head out, my head would fly off as the cars sped by. Luckily, my injured needed nothing more than bandages and a weeks worth of recovery.

I used to believe that the car knew where we were going because the turn signal would turn on before we made the turn.

I used to think the car signals would tell you where to turn.

When I was younger I did a lot of traveling and being from a small town everywhere seemed massive. I always noticed the color of license plates and assumed that all plates that were one color were from my home town. So no matter where I was I could not believe how many people from my town were traveling to the same place at the same time!

I used to believe our car had a brain and knew where we were going so it used turn signals to tell my dad when and which way to turn the steering wheel.

i used to think that to drive somewhere you had to remember how and when to turn the steering wheel at exactly the right points, as if there were no roads. So i remember when my mum would be driving to places i would think i would start learning how to get to whereever we were going and think
''ok so it turns right a bit, then left a lot, then nothing for a while'' e.t.c... hahahahaha

When I was younger my parents had a Ford station wagon and I thought that all cars were Fords.

When I was a child, my Father told me that he had to go get a new "sticker" for his truck. The only "sticker" I knew of was a grassbur. I got into the truck, and asked him where the new sticker was. He pointed to a paper thing on the windshield. I asked him again where the "sticker" was, and was yelled at and hit.

When I was little my dad used to drive this really old car and when he pressed the accelerator it made a loud noise from the exaust. I figured that if more noise comes from the exaust when you go faster, it must be the air coming out of the exaust that pushes the car along. It really screwed my head up when he reversed because there was no exaust at the front.
BOOYAH!
(I believed that I would also invent a 2 exausted car)
