When I was little, I used to believe that there was a man in the red lights. This man had to go through the red light at the green light. When the red light was long, I thought that the man was asleep. My parents told me that I was not true. They told me it was automatic. I was reassured because I thought that the man must be tired. Today when I'm at a red light, I still think about this anecdote and I laugh...
When I was little I thought that the traffic lights were controlled by people underground. So I looked for doors (sewers) that would lead me down there so i could work there one day. I soon found out the lights are all automatic. D:
I thought traffic lights were controlled by little men who lived inside them.
I used to believe there were men all crammed inside traffic lights and that there were buttons for red green and orang, and whenever there pressed a button, a penny gets sent to their home through a slot. I thought they had a very hard time picking up all that money.
When i was little, i thought that the way stoplights worked was that when it was green, little aliens that glowed green would walk into the light and stand there, and when it was yellow, little yellow aliens stood in the middle, and the little red aliens stood in the top bulb.
When I was little, there were metal boxes that sat on the corner of the road by the traffic lights. I thought a "little man" lived in there and controlled the red lights. I also thought that 24 hour stores were operated by only one person. I thought the person that worked there lived inside the storr
I used to believe that little men lived in traffic lights and watched for cars before they turned the light from red to green;
when I was younger I use to beleive that little men hid in stop light poles and they changed the lights form red to green for you. I would always smile at the one nearest to the car so he would change the light faster
i used to believe that for every street light there was a dwarf man underneath swiching it on and off. I had this vision of him sat in a swivel chair with computer screens all round him (very technical business) haha. And when his shift had finished the whole light and his work space would lift out of the ground and he would just step on to the street. Also for some reason i always imagined them with metal lunch boxes.
When I was little, and stop lights were bigger and boxy, I used to believe that tiny people were operating the lights, and that they had little holes where they could peer out to see which side cars were coming from, and that they would change the lights of the colors accordingly
When I was little I used to believe little gnomes lived in redlights and watched the traffic to know when to change the color.
When i was little i thought Mice ran the stoplights and that they were inside the light watching us and laughing when we were stopped
I used to believe that elves lived inside stop lights and made the light turn from color to color.
When I was a child I though that there were little gremlins in the traffic lights that switched the lights. It always seemed like the lights changed at the exact right moment!
When I was little I used to think there was a man inside a tiny box full of buttons and monitors and switches, below the ground in the middle of every intersection and that he controlled all the traffic lights.
I used to believe there were people sitting in each traffic light, overseeing their designated intersection and changing the lights at their discretion.
I used to believe that people lived inside of traffic light poles and it was their job to pull a lever that changed the color of the lights. I always wondered how a person could be so skinny to fit in there.
I don't know how I got this idea, but when I was little I used to believe that little men changed the stop lights at their will. So when we came to the stop lights I would always wave up at them to make them happy so they'd let us pass.
When I was about 5 I used to believe that mice were controlling the stop lights and there would be one mouse telling them when to turn the light over a head set.
When I was little, I used to believe that a mouse ran the traffic lights.
